The engine’s not going start to until the pilot opens the throttle. Sometimes, the pilot has to let the engine crank a little while because he’s waiting for the Turbine Outlet Temperature to cool down below the maximum start limit if the engine is already hot.
Ya first time seeing this one at Whiteman and it looks really good, I have some R44 footage of it taking off & landing on a little Helipad that I have to put up soon 😎👍
Ed again this is what I really need to actually accomplish my mission in Aviation is to do what he just did and I love it in that Hovering is the hardest but overall just rest and relax your arm on your leg and control the cyclic with your wrist , I can buy a low or mid time MD-500E at $700K at the year model of 1988.
@@stevenkinne9651 I saw it on flightradar the other day on a flight from somewhere in oregon up to kelowna BC. as much as I love me some 500s I am very partial to Agustas. I could see the Agusta costing much more to operate though.
Very cool 😎 I’ve loved the “killer egg”🚁 ever since I first saw them in “Magnum PI”. And I was really happy to see them also appear in big films like “Blue Thunder”, “Speed”, “Outbreak” and “Black Hawk Down”. They’re basic look hasn’t changed all that much, in 50 years, but they still look fast & stylish.

You can hear them for sure, when I'm at the airport I can hear one coming by the sound.
