- Football Kenya Federation faces a venues crisis with the Nyayo National Stadium and the Kasarani stadium set to be closed with immediate effect for a total rebuild. The work will be carried out by the Kenya Defence Forces.
The way I know my country, until I see them complete and ready for use , that's when I will believe it.... Otherwise izo ni story za jabaa

I have faith in KDF delivering after seeing what they did with Kenya Meat Commission, plus they literally built their own sports centre complex in Langatta in less than 6 months, something that Kenyans can't do if Chinese aren't the ones managing and running things, Kudos to KDF.

ETI BIG UP UHURU??!! Do you know that Uhuru shutdown Stadiums and restricted training for many sports teams. He did this so he can redirect money from the sports fund to his OWN account.
He also gained campaign funds from foreign aid after shutting down Stadiums.
Kenya women football was banned, sponsors pulled out and many lost jobs. You have NO IDEA how much this man destroyed sports.

Instead of Eldoret, the stadia in Nakuru, Kakamega, Kisumu, or Mombasa could have been considered for uplifting. This is because of the football support base (population), hotel availability, and other necessary amenities. In my view, the choice of Eldoret is more political than relevant sportily.
Nairobi is the capital city and it must be having a standard stadium.

Stadium capacity matters . This is AFCON. Kenya has only 2 stadium recognise by FIFA.

We lack the stadiums, but we are better than Cameroon in everything else. Afcon teams were complaining lack of hotels in the last Afcon hosted in Cameroon

These stadia were built over 30 years ago, and we are talking about renovating them. That is how this guy steal money. The cost for rebuilding the stadia is enough to demolish and build new structures. Every two or three years, we hear about redoing these dumps, that don't meet international standards. Take Nyayo basketball gym for example. You can pump in whatever amount you want to redo it; however, it will never meet the international standards. Blow up the structures and start a fresh with modern planning guys.

I feel like none of these designs are appealing and capture the national outlook in a unique yet conventional way and I'm talking from an architect's point of view ... especially the talanta stadium I really wonder why the designers had to literally design a shield ... it's lacking creativity trust me that can easily be done by a 3rd year who's using the shell tool in archicad ... a day's job at most
