Lente has done an amazing job of forming connections with others through social media and garnering attention for her up-coming game Spilled! She recently surpassed 300% on her kickstarter goal and its been wonderful to see her succeed in the indie game dev space!
She has given up some of her time to share tips on how to market your game, build an audience and stay mentally healthy during the solo dev process. I learnt loads from this chat and I hope you find it useful too ❤

Best of luck with your game! Marketing is difficult, especially if you are doing it alone or with a tiny team. I hope this gives you some food for thought ☺

@@yagmanx This is my first game and I am currently completely alone, so it's not easy.
But this should come in handy, so thank you.

Very interesting interview. I'm an indie game developer. As my main work activity (full-time) I'm a web application developer and I confirm that it's certainly better if one has a different activity, because after 8 hours of programming, one is obviously stressed and continues to develop, even if you I like it, it's much more tiring. But there is the desire to do it and one continues, even if more slowly. The marketing part is certainly difficult, but there is also a lot to fear about piracy which can greatly reduce the already small earnings. I'm always pleased to see that there are several girls in the world of game programming, considered for too long (mistakenly) to be "boy stuff".

Tahnks for sharing, yes doing a mentally taxing job can be draining and you might not want to exert that same energy when you come home. I'm glad you still find the motivation to keep doing what you love though :) Best of luck with your game!
