    Thank you Becky! We work away from home and live out of our 5th wheel 6 months out of the year and so happy that I can continue sublimating using the Easy Press and since “Becky can do it, no doubt it works!”

      Well, I’ve tried pressing my first shirt using the easy press2. I began with 400/60 and had to press numerous times to get decent ink release. My main concern is the uneven pressing. Seems like top and bottom are way better. Any tips for applying even pressure?

    Hi Becky, have you sublimate refrigerator magnets with the easy press? If so what are the settings to use? Thank you!

    Hi Becky.... love your videos and have subscribed, could you tell me what sort of projects would require a lot of pressure necessitating the need for a standard full size heat press ..(are standard heat presses expensive to run regarding electricity?) regards tony ;-)

    Have you ever checked the temperature of your cricut easypress? I have seen some big differences between the indicated temp and true temp after using an infrared thermometer! Congrats on 100K :o)

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey James! I have not, but I definitely need to! It's so easy to trust that these machines are accurate and I don't test mine often enough (even the big heat press). I do have an infrared thermometer and will add this to my to-do list today. I did have one Cricut EasyPress that was overheating, and upon researching it, it seems that it's not completely uncommon. If you press is still under warranty, I would contact Cricut customer support. Mine was not in warranty, so I chalked it up to having used it a TON (for videos and classes). My machines are definitely put through the ringer. Hope this helps and best of luck with your press! ---Becky

    I have been fascinated with your sublimation videos so much that I have purchased my printer and ink (waiting for delivery at the time of this comment) and love the projects that you've demonstrated so far. I have been looking into putting sublimation on hats, but I see most of the videos are using hat presses. I have a regular heat press for shirts, but it won't work for hats. I don't want to go out and purchase a hat press, so I was wondering if the Cricut Easy Press would work? I see the Mini is small enough, but would it heat up to the correct temperature for sublimation? I have a sewing ham to accommodate the curve of the hat while pressing, but have you tried sublimating hats? Would love to see a video on it if you have. Thank you for the great videos!!

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mark! So glad to hear you are diving into sublimation, it's a great craft! I have not sublimated on a hat for the same reasons as you, but I do see a hat press in my near future as a splurge purchase. I don't know that I would risk trying sublimation without one, but that is because I don't have anything to use on the inside to give me sufficient pressure. I would probably start with a small design and work my way up, but I don't think I would rely on the small EasyPress Mini for anything other than hats for myself LOL. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Hello I was wondering if you know what temperature should I set for a sublimation on a onesie?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! I use 400 degrees F for 60 seconds as my starting point. If you are worried it will scorch, you can use a slightly lower temperature and longer time (380 for 70 sec, etc). Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Hi, I can't print sublimation files, but I see many Etsy sellers that sell ready-to-press sublimation designs, however, many say on the description that you need a heat press and that the Cricut easy press won't work. Any idea why they would say that?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  ปีที่แล้ว

      They likely say that so that the person using the sublimation print does not blame them if they mess up while pressing. Using a heat press is much easier than the Cricut easy press when it comes to sublimation. - Brittany

    I am hoping to use my Cricut EasyPress 2 to sublimate on 6" heart shape slate and 11x 5.5" rectangle slate (from Pro World). I am worried that slate might require more pressure than I can manage (I'm an old lady). I've used my daughter's professional heat press on the slate (which works very well), but it is an almost hour drive to her location to use her equipment. Do you think I can apply the amount of pressure needed? (BTW, my girls got me every size of the Heat Press, from the smallest to the largest!) Also, I will be buying an Epson printer to convert to sublimation, what brand of ink should I buy?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Patsy! I think you should be able to do the slate with your EasyPress. I would try to find an area that is at about hip level, think of an end table or a stool. This will allow you to use your body weight to put pressure on your item without relying on your arm strength. I have had good luck with both InkXPro and Cosmos Sublimation Ink, both from Amazon. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    You mentioned finding preprinted sublimation designs. I'd love to know where you would recommend for that? I don't want to invest in a nice printer and all the extras until I know this is definitely something I want to add to my current work.

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly there are a ton of vendors online. I would shy away from ones selling copyrighted designs, those are pretty abundant. If you happen to have a local vinyl store, I would check with them also, it would help you be able to get more one-on-one service and save on shipping (cost and time). Other than that, I don't have a particular vendor to recommend, unfortunately. Hope this helps! ---Becky
