  • Have you seen other crafters and heat printers using a Cricut EasyPress Mini to apply screen printed transfer on social media and TikTok? We have too! With the glowing reviews and surprising printed results, so, in the spirit of DIY t-shirt printing, we had to try it for ourselves!
    So off to Amazon we went to buy the very popular hand-held heat press to see how well it works when printing heat transfers on t-shirts! And well, we were quite amazed with how well it worked!
    Watch the video to see some of the different techniques we used for printing our inside tags, along with some durability testing in the washer and dryer to see how they hold up!

    Hey I'm about to try doing my neck tags w the cricut easypress, but I'm just wondering, what are you pressing for transfer? Like is that vinyl or transfer ink?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We're using our Goof Proof screen printed transfers ( www.transferexpress.com/heat-applied-transfers/goof-proof-screen-printed-transfers ) They're plastisol ink heat transfers that come ready to apply, no weeding required- they look, feel, wash and wear like a traditional screen print on a shirt without the hassle and mess of inks, squeegees, emulsion and clean up.
      We have a video on how you can easily customize, arrange and order your tag prints on a cost-effective gang sheet with these transfers: th-cam.com/video/vQaCwpaCQGw/w-d-xo.html In this video we're adding tags to a sheet with a large graphic, but you can fill the entire sheet with your tag prints.

    What printer and paper can be used for inside name tags for school clothes?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Lu-Anita, we wouldn't recommend printing at home (as the cost of a printer, inks and transfer paper would really balloon the costs), our UltraColor Max or Goof Proof Transfers (depending on how many you would need) would be perfect. You could print a ton of name tags for around $25 with UltraColor Max and apply as needed

    I don’t have a heat press so Can I use my 9x9 Cricut easy press 2 with these products?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've seen promising results, but for large designs it's hard to get firm-even pressure across the transfer so we can't recommend it. We did a video comparing the results of both the larger easy press and a locking heat press: th-cam.com/video/lktG7PiL5Dk/w-d-xo.html

    Does ur inside label bleed thru to the other side
    when i sublimate anything it bleeds thru and it visible to the other side
    so If i wanted to sublimate my own inside label its gonna show on the backl of the shirt

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey jpegkingz, using our goof proof screen printed transfers the ink will not bleed to the other side in most cases.
      On white shirts (depending on the thickness of the fabric) Black inks may be visible, however if you use our grey ink color, it will not be visible. (grey also works great for black or any color shirt too).

    I have a cricut easy press 3 and its not a mini. Will that still work for tag printing?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, It'll work just the same as we show here- just turn the shirt inside out and ensure you have a smooth, flat even surface for printing without any collars or seams under or around the print area.
      The mini press here works good because it's small enough to fit the collar area without having to worry about the collar seams or turning the garment inside out. As these tiny easypress (and variants) are very affordable, picking one up may be worth it to speed up production.

      That's a good suggestion Hector! We do prefer using the Hotronix 360 IQ Cap Press for printing on headwear because of the consistent, predictable and repeatable results it provides.

    Hello. I sell sportswear. I need to print my logo on the outside of the clothing (chest, hip) and some pieces are ribbed fabric. Which machine would you recommend so that it does not get away with washing? I am Latina. I do not speak english very well

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We'd recommend a heat press for quality decoration that will last when being washed. Since you'll most likely be doing smaller size prints you don't need to invest in a large unit. You can browse some of the available heat presses we have here: www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses
      Recomendamos una prensa de calor para una decoración de calidad que durará cuando se lave. Dado que lo más probable es que haga impresiones de tamaño más pequeño, no necesita invertir en una unidad grande. Puede navegar por algunas de las prensas térmicas disponibles que tenemos aquí: www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses

    So I couldn’t just use a regular iron to apply things…?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately not. While household irons can get hot enough, for professional results you need accurate, repeatable pressure that only a locking heat press can provide.

    If there is no press or timer, what is the difference if we use iron?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For smaller applications like this one, you can use something similar like an iron. These mini presses just have flat heating elements for easier use: those steam holes in household irons will under-apply a transfer. Like Dave mentions in this video, consistent, repeatable results are more difficult without a locking pressure heat press, and for larger, exterior graphics a heat press should be Used. While these did apply, we did not test them to the 50+ wash cycles we rate all of our transfers to.
      We were quite shocked this mini press worked as well as it did for these inside labels!
