God I love this movie with all of my heart I’m so glad it has an excellent game to go with it. This game is so full of love for the source material it makes me happy. Edit: sorry I have to talk about how much I love this movie some more. It is one of my favorite movies of all time. It is simultaneously completely aware of its own ridiculousness and completely earnest in it. The Chiodo brothers knew exactly what they wanted this movie to be. It is so fucking sure of its own identity the entire time and that’s not something that can be said for a lot of movies. It’s also legitimately one of the most unique takes on evil clowns in horror imo because it really heavily leans on the clown aspect and at no point does the movie try to subvert the traditional clown aesthetics to make them more “creepy,” other than the Klowns being outright reptilian. The “Klown” is equally as important as the “killer” aspect, right down to the big top they use as a spaceship. It balances the horror and humor perfectly too imo, like it is aiming to be comedic but the scene with the ventriloquist dummy and the scene with the little girl is legit fucking chilling. AND it has a banger fucking theme song by the Dickies. Truly one of the greatest creature features of all time.
"Don't worry, Dave... all we wanna do is kill you." Chills. I love how unserious the clowns are, they're clearly having a great time on their rampage. Most of the time I'm laughing with them, but that scene shows how scary they can be.
Only about 10 minutes into the actual gameplay but I think I already really like it. It's very charming (even if it turns your computer into a tabletop grill)
I lived in South Carolina, in the city where (allegedly) the first sightings popped up before it became a nationwide phenomenon. I never saw any myself but the fear I would was bad enough.
