Another stella of a video. Nice mixed variety for a morning rush hour trainspotting. RIP to the HST's from EMR, such a shame they are now long gone but hopefully, more will be saved and preserved. One thing am hoping to see and since 2019 will be the daily East Midlands Railway InterCity service which runs once a week between ST Pancras International to Scarborough via Leicester and Sheffield.
As East Midlands Railway are replacing the Class 222 Meridian, Class 180 Adelante and Class 43 Mk3 HSTs with the Class 810 Aurora IETs. And the Class 360 “EMR Connect” Desiros are operating on the London St. Pancras-Corby service and Class 170 Turbostars working the East Midlands regional services. Will EMR inherit more rolling stocks as well ordering new ones and to expand their services including parts of Northern England and West Midlands. And to introduce the Class 170 and Class 222 to operate between Manchester Piccadilly-Nottingham and Norwich via Peterborough.
The class 222s are being replaced by 810s, and so are the 180s.They have turbostars from Scotrail and WMR, and we are next getting some from TFW. These will cover all the regional routes.
Absolutely. Stations like this have what I refer to as "Announcement Clutter" where there are so many announcements that most station users would just ignore all of them. East Midlands Railway really need to remove all unnecessary announcements especially the face covering ones, its all over the top.
