I admit the first thing I ever saw of him was as "The Operative" in Serenity. He made that character not only come to life but be a blazing Sun in comparison to many of the other characters. That part cemented me as a fan of him from then on.

Just watched it and I could agree with you more, the show was another level, absolutely brilliant. I’m pretty gutted its been cancelled and there won’t be a season 2, thats such a disappointment. Brilliant bit of sci-fi, truly one of the best.

Still, with the cast and the script being so damn good, I think these guys would have done a good job with a second season. I’m grateful with what we have though. It’s gone into my all time favs and up there with Blade Runner and Dune for me.

Don't sleep on The Man who Fell to Earth, the cast is stellar with Ejiofor and Naomi Harris, brilliant casting from top to bottom. Although he's from a distant galaxy his planet pretty much parallels the subjugation of his class of people "the Drones", like blacks and others were kept in slavery on earth. The finale of season 1 is epic, I've watched it several times now, it's that good!
