Wow, the nostalgia is real with this one! The air of fall felt crisp and thin. The candy was awesome. We didn’t worry about sick adult individuals as much back then. It was just good times!
Still can never forget the mummy Disney Channel movie Underwraps. Not really the plot but how it starts where it starts with a jump scare that happens to a dude washing dishes or something. It ends with him getting his head shoved into a knife spinning in a garbage disposal. It obviously doesn't show the knife enter the dude, it cuts to a theater watching the movie, but it was still crazy and terrifying for kid me. Also the All by Myself song is stuck in my head randomly because of that movie and I haven't seen it again since I was a kid. Edit:...And apparently Underwraps just got remade. Ok then.
whats up with dcoms being halloween/scary/fear themed?... under wraps phantom of the megaplex mom's got a date with a vampire don't look under the bed can of worms (kinda) scream team and the halloween town series all came out as dcoms...why so many focused on that one holiday/feeling of scares for kids?
My 6yr old daughter, the age I was when this released, likes it. Little kids don't care about budget special effects. She loves We can be Heroes and Sharkboy and Lavagirl
since Halloween is basically a pagan holiday. it didn't surprised me. Paganism do in most cases have ties to the occult and satanism. since the pentagram is mostly use by Satan worshippers and paganist.. I would agree that some parents especially Christian parents would have a mind snap over that.

some really good ones like miracle in lane 2 color of friendship tru confessions motorcrossed gotta kick it up and going to the matt were all very powerful films to watch as a 7-8 year old...trust me...those films hold up...their very serious for kids films lol..like jesus....the intensity of the acting for a made for t.v. film is shocking...they went above and beyond with those films...when they did not have to...I appreciate them for that...

I watched Halloweentown back in the 90s because there was a girl named Marnie in it. I was an adult when this came out but I thought it was a cute movie. I'll be honest, I loved this growing up and still have an appreciation for the first two films despite aging not to good. That being said... I REALLY hated the mom in this, I get why she was that way but it's been years and she is forcing her kids into being against everything she hates, trying to keep their grandmother out of their lives and had no intention of telling any of them the truth! And even when she's called out on it later, she STILL acts smug and superior (It's that look she gives as her default face) granted she gets better after she admits she's been way out of line at the end of the first film, but I really hated her growing up and still do. Dylan at least is a kid and has gotten his annoying and slightly mean habits watching mom and he does grow out of that over the film (mostly) but mom? Mom had no excuse for acting that way!
I didn't realize this movie was so old. I grew up in the Good luck Charlie/ Wizards of Waverly place Era on Disney ( I was around 9-11 when those shows ended) and grew up thinking that my first time watching the movie was when it first came out.
I've been feeling down lately; but, Martin's laughter always brings a smile to my face.
