I chose the same ProPurp. I'm in the high 70xx. The wait is pure torture.

Definitely! I'd say the Odin 2 Pro hits the sweet spot, and for most emulation needs, the base model should do the job just fine, even if you're thinking ahead. 😄
Would love to see Soulcalibur III and Burnout 3 on the PS2 tested, as those are always bottlenecks for me. :)
