Fun video, I appreciate you putting it out there for all of us to enjoy. I have some different thoughts on lines and there were times I wanted to jump through the screen and spot. But we all have our own ways and experience.
That said; and far more importantly, what I see at 40 minutes is inexcusable. I'm not saying this to be a "hater" or show the internet how smart I am, this really is about safety and I want you all to continue to enjoy the hobby without something terrible happening.
So, at 40 minutes it looks like you're parked steeply downhill winching the other rig. In and of itself that's okay. The problem is you should be inside your truck holding the brakes. Your e-brake alone isn't enough and if you've ever seen the size of a Park pawl in a transmission you'd agree that's not enough either.
Worse still you're standing in front of your truck right next to the winch. There are just so many ways that could go bad. If your truck started rolling could you get out of the way? What about all the rigs and people at the bottom? At least it looks like synthetic line so that risk is lower but it's still best to never stand right next to a working winch or winch cable.
Again, great video and I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just wanted to help you stay safe and continue wheeling and putting out content.
Appreciate the feedback and honesty...something that wasn’t shown in the video is I was being anchored by 2 vehicles while winching at that last obstacle...that being said standing in front isn’t the best idea...it’s easily overlooked and can become a problem if not addressed...there’s been a couple other comments regarding winch safety..which is understandable...We always appreciate an opportunity to get better in this field 💯

Yeah thise fj cruisers wheelbase is pretty small and its top heavy by design a lil sideways and boom they go if you get careless, needed more articulation, I see this a lot with 2 door jeeps to but not as much cus they can articulate a lil more, trucks with ifs can deal with with it cus the length keeps them flat, but that rollover was hard to watch especially cus ifs an fj theyre worth so much

What is it with those fj cruisers? There's another video of one rolling over at the entrance to black bear pass. Also that red Jeep with the Patagonias, air them down baggy and they grab infinitely better.
It's a short wheelbase and tall. He dropped the front right off a pretty tall ledge and it just pitched it over. Something longer might've had a chance to save it, but it was GG for the FJ as soon as the tire cleared the edge
Beitzel tru, I also seen that blck bear pass rollover its gets you puzzled cus its hust a lil bump but as you said small wheelbase, too heavy by design and also its ifs idk if it was stock any hard sideways and boom, shame cus fj’s are foing for like 35k$+

Just a car. It's super dope seeing people like Paul out on the trail using their rigs. Actually, a lot of these DN guys have really nice vehicles. But they're not afraid to wheel them, scratch them, potentially break stuff. Everyone crosses fingers they're not gonna put it on its side or lid because that's the most dangerous scenario.
So many of the people I know buy something nice, then refuse to use it because scratches would affect resale 😐... I don't think you should own 4wd if you're not at least willing to take it somewhere this situation is possible 🤣💀

That’s the gambler 500...pretty much an off-road race where your purchase a vehicle for $500 or less and build it to wheel 😆

Was on pilot rock today. Was in that same spot. Just shows that you don’t go where you can’t see. Don’t be embarrassed to get out of your car so you can see what’s ahead of you. Not worth the damage. To your truck or your body. Glad everybody is ok

I feel fj is prone to roll over not sure why tho. Watched bunch of videos and fj roll over is like a monthly thing.
