- In this video we show you how to make a DIY livewell suitable for tournament fishing, trips to the beach, keeping all fish alive as well as bait. Hope you enjoy! Here is a link for the live well timer.. www.amazon.com...
Best quality DIY livewell that I've seen. Well thought out. Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding! I have been watching several of these and your setup is by far the best. Thank you.
I see a lot of crappy livewells on TH-cam. This one is the best I've come across...good size and not too complex or expensive. Looks like I've got a project before fishing season. Thanks.
Great I’m glad it was a help!
When you mention crappy live wells, are you referring to the live wells as aesthetically or functionally worthless, or a dedicated live wells for crappies.
@@pbjae8140 unfortunately I speak of sloppy, cumbersome, and impractical livewells. Now a livewell full of crappie...that's something I can appreciate.
Finally found. A sensible set up for a home made live well .. I was given a 1986 tracker mv16 I’m converting to a pan fisher and this livewell set up will be in my boat .. thank you for the simple set up
Glad we could help
Seen a great deal of these videos. By far the most well thought out cooler live well on TH-cam. I’m going to make mine like yours. I think it’s smart you bought a big pump. Dual purpose if you need to ever pump water out of the boat its self
Charles Healan Great!! I’m glad it helped
@justreelfishing2002 could you give me a link to the battery box?
I've been looking everywhere but can't find one like you showed
Thank you for posting, going to pick up the supplies tomorrow! Fantastic idea!
This is the best one I’ve seen this will be perfect for my needs
Outstanding Sir! Thank you!💯
Love your setup
Wow i love this design . Awesome build
Awesome DIYwell for live bait very nice, thanks for the tips, new friend from Philippines
Awesome glad you enjoyed!

@@justreelfishing2002 where did u find that timer at that u have connected to the battery to turn the pump on and off
Buddy you guys are awsome thank you
I like it. Looks like good craftsmanship. Definitely weekend project
Good job
Would be great if you'd add a supply list .
Love it! Where did you get the battery box?
👍👍👍 thanks your Share it a good idea brother
Good job, nice live well, I like that you didn’t glue the water return hole pipe so you can rotate the flow. I want to make one, I think I’m going to add two pieces of plexiglass so that I can have a minnow live well and a fish live well separating the two pretty much like what you have one piece of plexiglass but down the end of the cooler gave me food for thought.
Glad we could help
Very nice job. Thank you.
Nice setup
I like this idea
Great set up. Very user friendly
Thanks , this is the Best I've seen , very impressive.

BEST ON YET !
Awesome! Thank you.
Great idea
Thank you!
Well done.
Cool
Awesome set up! What timer did you use? And also did the timer come with wiring instructions?
Awesome!
Looks like that will keep your bait alive for days as long as the water is changed all depends on the weather
What was name of battery box with timer and the battery you used thanks
excellent
Thank you! Hope it was a help
How many hours of use do u get out of that battery before charge is needed
Do you have a link for the battery box you used?
Great DIY Livewell, I have a battery but where did you get the Battery box from.
We actually got it from Walmart. It’s a waterproof box you can find in the camping section. You’ll need the biggest one.
will this same setup work with a smaller cooler and to have it in a kayak
Where did you get that battery case? Looking for something similar to hold 22ah battery
Thanks
can we get a list of the items
Do u have a link fir your battery box and how it's put together?
I’ve got a question about the pump. Can I buy one that’s got a 110 outlet plug and just cut that plug off, splice the cord and hook it to a battery or do I need a specific kind of pump ??
great video! can u point me in the direction of where to find that battery pack? or the name of it? thanks
How thick a piece of Lexan did you use, if you don’t mind me asking?
Not even a 1/2 inch I believe
1/4
Have the link for the battery pack?
Do you film on your phone and use iMovie because I know this sound
I film with a go pro and use movavi video editing software
We’re about can I get a battery box like the one you have
Where did you get the battery box from?
Awesome setup! Would you be able to post the link of the livewell timer you used? Thanks!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, what’s the reason for the water shooting out? I thought all you needed was to add oxygen to the water.
The water circulation is what’s adding the oxygen creating air bubbles. Stagnant water loses oxygen quickly but circulating water does not. It creates it.
@@justreelfishing2002 thank you!
What brand is that battery box? I can't seem to find them..
Chance Avery It’s Ozark Trail, a dry box from the camping section at Walmart
Chance Avery Harbor freight has a little dry box that looks like an ammo box for around 5 dollars that would probably work also.
Thanks will build mine similar. Like using single pump for it.
Good idea, how do you get the oxygen in the water, through the pump,or do you have to have a separate air / oxygen intake.
Cheers Colin.
The water splashing adds air all by itself.
I made something similar but once I have fish in the cooler this pump always seems to get clogged up. Do you have the same problem?
We do not have that problem
We always let fresh water run thru ours after we empty it. With the the timer we just let it run 1 min every 7.
Can you put a link to battery you used.
Is there anyway you can email me how you made the battery box. I got the live well down packed but I need to know how to build the battery box.
We bought a 12v 10ah battery off Ebay for around 20 dollars. The battery box came from the camping section at Walmart some have used ammo boxes from Harbor Freight. We used a live well timer from Amazon it has directions on how to wire it. And we installed USB ports from Ebay. Good luck.
@@chadforgety6786 I'm sure I can get it to work thanks for the supply list
Where did you get that Battery Box?!
Hey guy what’s the brand of the timer and where did you get it? This is a great setup.
JEFFERY DAVIS www.amazon.com/dp/B07PGMG14S/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_Yx1QEbND27NYH
What type of battery box is that I can’t find one
Ron Wilson www.walmart.com/ip/Outdoor-Products-Large-Watertight-Case/973715876
800 gph for a 80 gal live well. You're pushing way to much water flow. Even the top end aquariums run at max 7x turnover rate. You'd get away with a 350 gph.
Would that keep shad alive?
Yes it will
Got a link for that mobile battery?
No sir not sure how we came across it. Got it out of country I believe
Go to eBay search 12v 10ah battery they ship under 30.00
Where do I get my wires,I’m gonna make me one.
I got the wire from Walmart where the automotive fuses are.
How long will it run?
You can set it on continuous or every few minutes
@@justreelfishing2002 im sorry, i mean how long will the battery last?
A long time. We’ve used it on and off for most of the day
Hello so far the best I've seen. Can you provide any info on the battery box like the timer and box type I would surely appreciate it.
Sorry about that. Just saw the end of the video which answered my question. Thanks for the info. Plan on building one for my gheenoe.
Do you have any for sale
No I do not
Will that live well hold two Marlins?
I am looking for about your product. Place lace me a message. When I post this , I am looking for more information on this . looking plan build this for fishing bait and other fish
Him speaking is killing me
One thing y ou could have done here woiuld have been to include links to suppliers for the battery parts, and also a better (close up) description of how to alter the plastic box to attach all the necessary parts. Your camera man needs to use a tripod and STAND STILL so we can see how things are put together.
The instructions weren't clear I blew up my boat
