I’m just like you…. I don’t want to wait for my husband to save me IF I can do it myself. The thing I’ve discovered is it’s so much easier on my body ( I have Fibromyalgia and 2 bulging discs in my neck) if I can get my project off the ground. I like your grit, sister! 😊
Could you please do a video about your chickens and advice for those of us that would like to keep some chickens to produce eggs? I would truly appreciate it.
Julie…..I am so proud of you putting that tin up. Using tin snips isn’t easy either. The chicken coop looks great and I know when you get it all painted and have your flower boxes up it will look precious. Again, so proud of you!
I think making their home cozy and clean and cute is important. My kitties show how much they enjoy my cleaning and rearranging their furniture, putting fresh colorful blankets in their special kitty yard 😺. Im amazed you did it yourself!
I grew up on a farm...it's hard & sometimes nasty work. I'll bet your hubby was surprised when he got home. Like you I've learned to do things myself. I targeted jobs where I could learn how to do things.. plumbing, auto repair, some electrical. I have power tools. Even now at 76, I still do most of my work. Can't afford the high prices. Good job.
Julie, I love watching you do your projects and seeing the end results. The chicken coop is so cute; can’t wait to see it when it is finished. The flower boxes are going to look so good on it. Girl, you are one of the hardest working people I know of. Such a go getter. Give yourself a big pat on the back for this project. That was some hard work going on.
You are one incredible determined lady. Cleaning the coup was not something I could do I give you credit for cutting the tin and installing it what a inspiration you are
Julie, you did a great job on the chicken coop. Of course you want to put flower boxes on it. It is for your girls even if they are chickens. You remind me of myself when I was younger. Thanks for sharing your days with us.
When I owned a palm nursery my late hubby used to pay $300 for three square meters for chicken manure mixed with sawdust. What you just scraped up of that floor is “gold.” The chicken farms here used to leave their manure in the sheds for about three runs of meat chickens (24 weeks.) The chap we bought off removed it with a loader every eight week run of chickens. He could not produce enough manure for the demand. Best fertiliser ever. We used to add it to our potting mix with all the other stuff in our recipe and paid a mate to turn and mix it with his D9 Cat.
I am woman......hear me roar!!!!!. Great job. Growing upni lived on a farm in New Hampshire. My foster dad had animals and i helped him do things. My job was the chickens abd filling the woodbox with wood. We had a cast iron stove in a back kitchen. My foster mom did the canning there at harvest time. We lived off the land. Its what took us through the winter. Farming Is one hard job. My girs are city girls, they would never look last on the farm lol. Great job, im proud of your achievement. Take care. Desna
Julia I'm so proud of you. You done a great job. I'm so sorry you broke your camera. But you phone does a great job too. Yes i would want to make it look cute too, just for myself. You are a go gether girl. I know your hands and arm are sore today.
Julie, Sorry you broke your camera, Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Great job on the chicken coop project. It’s going to be cute especially with the flower boxes. Can’t wait to see when you’re finished with it. Thank you for sharing this awesome video.
Julie, you did a wonderful job putting up that tin, that’s a job right there! I’m always afraid of cutting myself when working with tin. Can’t wait to see it painted and flower boxes on it. I live in Florida and every time you would pick up that tin, it scared me on count of snakes. Here in Florida they love getting under it. And I’m terrified of Snakes. Take care sweet friend!
Great job, Julie. I can remember cleaning out the chicken house. Not a good job but, it had to be done. Yours is gonna be so cute for a chicken coop..lol the babies are gonna love it. ❤😊
Awwww . I forgot you have chickens! Sweet chicks. Lol - if you clean and organize the coop as nicely as you did your home , they’ll be lucky chickens! Love watching your country life! Love the ASMR with the shovel on the coop floor. Gosh - do be careful not to cut yourself- good job ! You’re a great DIYer. You work hard. Looks very good! Nice structure . Thanks for this video .. I was looking for it !❤x
Thanks 😊 Julie!!! I'm weird, my husband and I don't have any outside livestock, 🐔 ect...so I do enjoy watching any type of outside activities that include any livestock...thank you!!! 😊❤
Julie you've done a great job it looks so amazing you should be so excited and proud of yourself im such am impressed 😊 go have a cold drink u deserve it amen amen
Good job Julie . Us women can do stuff . When our husband's are at work or busy . I rather tackel things when Tommy's gone he makes it to complicated 😆 ❤
We spent our summers on the farm and there was alot to be done but we loved it. So nice to see you and your family teaching the grans about different things. I td my kids and grans that so many kids don't understand the joy in a farm. We use to have rotten egg fights, and you know that sml was BAD. Out to the old medal tub with lie soap. We slept on the back porch many nights. We got in trouble but my ant and uncle had ue every summer. They had 5 kids and with us 9, God bless them, they had alot to do with our values and responsibility.
When my husband and I were first married, he called me while he was working away from home. He asked what I was doing, and i told him, "Cleaning the bathroom." He said, "Oh sexy. "i said it's not sexy or pretty, but it's got to be done. It's kind of the same thing with chickens. Double protection is a good idea, we lost many a chick to snakes.
Kara, where have you been? I miss seeing your channel...Julie, that is a great job, I know chickens are great to eat and for eggs, but just so dirty and gross...
