- Things get a bit 8-bit... but only after THAT they truly get nostalgic.
Weird, innit.

Outro music: Meatball132 - เกม
The atmosphere in Dribble & Spitz Stage is Great! good thing Smooth Moves did a similar version of it for their stage in that game as well.
10:44 - Your determination to prove triangles as the superior shape was so great, you even got rid of your very-much round shield. Now THAT's dedication!
Hearing the WL4 soundbank in an environment that's not absolutely terrifying is certainly something--I can listen to the music without fearing for my general safety!
Also, I got a Gameboy Advance SP as a gift from a friend in school once, and I used it to play along during the ending of your Superstar Saga remake playthrough--while it was a novel experience, I think I'll stick to my DS Phat for any further Gameboying...
5:00 Some experimentation might be useful here...
6:54 In Japan, Sience Fiction and Fantasy are the same genre, unlike in the West where they fully speciated and are argued as being as separate as horror and romance, despite the fact they're actually really similar. It's why the Desian bases in Tales of Symphonia or the robots in Dragon Quest are a thing.
8:35 You mean Wario World?
I like to think that Dribble and Spitz had the idea for a Sci-fi pack, but didn’t know enough about sci-fi to make one so they just threw random stuff together and called it a pack. That’s why the pack is so mismatched with old microgames and feudal Japan.
and also some of wario’s mircogames fpr some reason????
@@teaoftraffic Wario is the future and science in this game 😂
@@teaoftraffic I believe most stages in the game have Wario's "Intro Games" in the mix, although they're at a higher starting level (Lv2 instead of Lv 1)
After all of these years i realize that 9-volt doesn't even skate properly, his foot doesn't touch the ground to propel himself on the skateboard
Actually i have a friend that didn't like WarioWare at first and stopped playing at Jimmy T, such a shame that was
5:16 You probably shouldn’t get in a taxi if the driver is challenging you to “survive” the drive home.
7:38 That would explain the challenge, at least.
12:06 I like how Dribble isn’t actually licking his ice cream.
7:14 He needs to BE fire? I guess someone out there also has a Flaming Wario transformation.
8:55 Funny you say that, there's an EXTREMELY old video on TH-cam named WarioWare Hacked that goes into hacking the game to increase the difficulty level further, and it has some...interesting results.
5:02 as far as I can tell, the animation is purely for show, speedruns of the game reset the game whenever it appears to get to the next stage faster, because it's faster than waiting for it to finish
9-Volt being a DJ is something that I think they never went back to? Speaking of music, actually, I'm recognizing a bunch of samples in this game that ended up in the songs of vaporwave artist 3D-Blast, specifically the voice clips
9-Volt's DJ schtick has been something often in the series:
-He's playing DJ in one of Mega Party Games' cutscenes.
-In his intro cutscene in Twisted you can mess around with a record playing on his turntable.
-His stage in Touched has him playing a record.
And last but not least, he can be seen playing DJ at 18-Volt's stage in Gold.
Plus you can see his turntables at his room in his Get It Together cutscene.
@@Dark9Volt Good to know!
2:28 Listen very closely and you will hear the Mr. Krabs walk sound. Never noticed that before.
0:44 Not sure what you're talking about as 9-Volt said "bits" here.
3:28 Yeah, glad they didn't go for realism when it comes to the sound this toy makes.
5:00 Unless it takes a while specific in occasions like this I'd say it's just for bants because elsewhere it most certainly doesn't take this long to save.
5:34 I guess they got to pick last the genre so they were forced to make sci-fi microgames.
8:30 Never heard of this, interesting!
0:28
@@Skawo I somehow missed that, then I agree, I've never heard "vids" either.
9-Volt and Dribble and Spitz have my favorite levels in this game. 9-Volt for the Nintendo themed Micro Games, and Dribble and Spitz for the music and atmosphere.
If I was in a taxicab and the odometer suddenly flashed "BOSS", I'd be terrified.
8:37 In the demo the difficulty can go up to 6. In the final game, there’s code to go up to *9.* It has 10 balls to dodge.
At this point, I think Oddity might actually be cancelled.
Man. I do appreciate how good this game is at capturing the feeling of being in the 00s. I felt so cozy watching that cab interior
I’m surprised you didn’t start at Mona tbh. She always felt like the definitive 2nd/3rd level
10:53 ah, so this minigame is how Game Freak settled on Unova's Pokemon design direction. :P
The space shooter reminds me of Star Soldier.
Now I wanna know more about the GBA SP screen
5:35 (All things science fiction buff hat on) To cash in on a popular trend, perhaps. Cashing in on the Pyoro trend is what Wario started this endeavor for after all, and this was around Star Wars prequel trilogy times.
9:58 - There is!… but i don’t remember the name of it. I’ll update you on it if i do
Found it; its Nova drift
6:20
fun fact: the passenger’s gender is based off the gender you put in at the start of the game
11:19 why must you hurt me :/
9-Volt might just be choosing to skate home. I remember seeing kids who would prefer to walk or bike over taking the bus since they lived close enough.
Yeah, but he lives on the other side of town :v
4:19 sounds like you got a 001 model, which is frontlit. The 101 has the backlit screen. That's the one you want.
About 9:58... Might I recommend Nova Drift? It's not one that infinitely scrolls like that, but it is a roguelite- with an endless mode, no less!
9:57 that game is strato patrol EOS, or kirby mass attack. collect all the kirbies, then line 'em up at the bottom of the screen.
it’s a subgame in mass attack specifically
and then traviskawo lived happily ever after
anyway wario land 4.5 part 2!!!!
this is jarring so far like the modern ones
so i think its good
at least so far
also would like to mention that at 9-volts minigames You Should Have Been LV 2 At 10 EXP What Is This Nonsense...........
Totally understand if you would rather not take this route, but mGBA is an emulator that supports controller gyro for WarioWare Twisted. I played it with a switch pro's native gyro that way.
Certainly is awkward not having the screen and gyro on the same object, but it works well enough if you just think of it like a wiimote tilt.
Weird how primitive the characterisation is this early on. Like nowadays we have a full voice cast and unique mini stories for each character. Here they're all just sort of...there.
You know what? I think i prefer it that way. not hating on the newer ones or anything, but the old Wario Wares had charm. a type of good simplistic style that the newer ones doesn't have anymore.
I KNEW SKAWO WAS A MERMAN!!! MY THEORIES WERE CORRECT!
HELLO
9-volt likes the virtual boy ewwwwwwww
Actually, i think some sub modes of gold mix in other microgames randomly.
Also, i guess the fronk sets could count too, since they literally hijack other sets.
