@@lamargoat2.054they didn't have a timeout so it's a pretty good play for that situation. If lebron makes the free throw, he lowers the suns lead to 1 but they would get the ball and most likely make it a 3 point lead and since they had no timeouts that would mean they cant advance the ball and get a play going. They would have to scramble and throw a hail mary just to tie the game. By missing it's giving them a somewhat higher chance to at least tie the game since if they got the ball they probably wouldn't have to throw a hail mary. The problem here was not the play but how it was executed. Lebron threw the ball too low on the rim and it went directly down to Nurkic, if Lebron would have thrown the ball higher to hit the top of the rim it would have bounced and would have given AD a higher chance to get the ball. It's not a bad play but bad execution.
@@CroppedCross3 They saved the ball inbounds up 2 with only 14 seconds left in the game and no shot clock. All he had to do, and was supposed to do, was hold the ball and force the opposing team to foul. This would lead to him shooting 2 freethrows which would in turn likely bring them to a minimum 3 point lead. Instead he shot a 3 pointer which missed giving posession back to the other team with plenty of time - meaning they could much easily tie the game with a 2 point basket, or even win with 3. The Bucks ended up tying with a 2 and forcing a third overtime, but luckily for Bargnani the Knicks ended up winning 107-101. It was a very dumb shot and I just have to assume his mind blanked because even highschool basketball players would know better.
How was the first one a low IQ moment? Unless you’re banking on grown men who have put in years of practice and our superstars on the Phoenix Suns to miss both free throws. if not it just becomes a made free throw, foul, they go up by three, no time out so now you gotta take it full court and shoot a three to just tie the game. That’s not low IQ to force miss the FT try to get the ball back in go up by one
If he was going to force the miss, he should bank it high, not right off the rim when there are two Suns players on the inside of the shot. It was a bad call to bank it that low.
@ well I’m not sure if he tried to make the ball go straight down that’s pretty impressive if that was pinpoint what he was doing… i’m pretty sure he was trying to rim straight on so it bounces immediately back to him
not low iq to miss the ft strategically, but horrible tactical execution on the miss, going hard off the front of the rim right in front of 2 opposing players.
@robertdouth8979 I'm not saying I could do it better. I'm not even saying that he's a bad player because of it. I'm just saying I've seen people do the same play, and it wasn't by chance that the ball ended up back in their hands.
13:12 the funniest part is after lance first flexed at dwight he then turned his head and watched michael kidd gilchrist dunk and then still flexed at dwight again 😂
11:17 "Wow, why didn't LeBron take the layup?" Because LeBron James always gives the ball to a teammate during clutch time because he doesn't want to be blamed for the loss.
I cannot emphasize it enough - JR did the right thing given what he believed was the case in the moment. He thought they were ahead, and that's exactly what you do in that situation when you are. He'll never live it down, but he doesn't deserve the shit he gets for it.
First one is not a low iq play, it’s actually a high iq play, it just happened that LeBron fucked it up. Yao Ming did that FT move first with Rafer Alston many years ago and Rafer missed the 3 too afterwards.
First one isn’t a low IQ play, it was a great decision. The Lakers were playing the Suns who missed 2 free throws the entire game. Getting into a free throw contest with the Suns was almost certainly going to result in an L. Trying to intentionally miss to get the offensive board was the lakers best chance to win that game. You can literally see in the replay how badly it caught phoenix by surprise. It was almost perfect just a tiny bit off
After watching the first play how can anyone claim Lebron is the GOAT. Jordan would've made the free throw to bring it to 1 then fouled on the inbound, even if they make both, Bulls would still be within 3, thus giving them an actual final chance, Lebron choked like he always does.😂
Just tell me you don’t know basketball… first off, we don’t even know how much time would be taken off the clock by the time the lakers get to a foul. Secondly, with whatever time was left which would be less than 6 seconds the Phoenix Suns would’ve been up three and the Lakers had no timeouts and would have to progress the ball full court and shoot a make a 3 to not even win the game but only to tie. Lastly, seeing the night that Kevin Durant was having and Devin Booker that is not what you want to do: Especially because LeBron was having an off night. Force miss the free throw get back the possession and try to go up by one with a high percentage bucket.

“Low iq moments” but the first play is a damn near perfect intentional miss of a free throw. I cant
