- A complete tour of the C gates at Denver International Airport (DEN) primarily home to Southwest Airlines. Denver International Airport (DEN), also known as DIA, is a major airport hub in the USA. A unique feature of Concourse C is the outdoor patio around Gate C71. Denver Airport Atrium Garden. This landscaped space offers a tranquil escape within the terminal, featuring sculpted walls and walkways emerging from the platform above the train. The new American Express centurion lounge is also located in this terminal.

Lots of great memories at DIA. All those long flights back to Hawaii for school breaks and even longer flights back to Colorado for school. 🤙
And much colder than Hawaii when you got to Denver I bet! 😀
I worked for Frontier for 7 years, I quit in '08 but got know almost every square foot of that airport. Literally it's like a labyrinth underneath the concourses.
I've lived in Denver for over 34 years. We can get big storms, but they are rare. We can go for weeks with little or no snow in the winter and the bigger storms tend to arrive in March, not December/January. Timing, and a bit of luck, are everything!
Also, the east side of the Denver metro area, where DIA is, usually receives much less snow than the west side at the base of the foothills. In other words, if you have a choice to connect through Chicago or Denver in the "typical " winter months, choose Denver. Just cross your fingers.

The outside seating looks great.
I wish more airports had outdoor seats
Hi Chris. I also love the high ceilings and the way the sunlight brightens up the concourse and make it a warm and inviting place. The sofas are also a wonderful touch to relax and chill out before your flight. Take care.
Thanks James! Yeah. They've done a nice remodel here
Hey Chris, another uber-useful video, thanks!😊
Thanks Vicki!
Awesome, I didn't know about that patio. I'll check that out in a couple of weeks. Thanks Chris. I hope to see you out and about one of these days.
Awesome Chum!
Hi Chris! OMG! Welcome to my home. I hope you had a great experience at DIA. I wish I had been there back in March and had seen you! Enjoy your week. CAB😍✈
Thanks CAB!
More great content from Chris and the O.C. Lady. Thanks!
Our pleasure!
One of my favorite airports to be!
Thanks for the info + video!
Flew in/out that terminal on April for spring ski trip, very pleasant and wide open with lots of sunlight. Restrooms are huge with lavatories overlooking the aircraft ramps and jetways. Signage is much better than terminal A or B.
Pretty busy, Chris. Another great airport walk through. The best, bar none.
Thanks Mark!
Late April. Flying from Arizona to Miami. Changed planes in Denver. Snow covered everything! Coming from Arizona in April, it was like some sort of dream!
Wow. Snow in April 😀
Great videos, love airports
Thanks Ryan!
Nice video. I've never have been or traveled through Denver. Maybe one of these days.
When DIA was built the reason the end is C-24 so when they need more gates when they add on they will be gates C-23, C-22 until they get to C-1
If they expand the airport any further, they’ll have to merge it with MCI 😂
Denver is a really good airport. I'm happy you got to check it out! Even though it was months ago! Was there in April for Eclipse. Btw the B concourse is longer AND you pass by the lotto machine.
I've got a B concourse tour coming up 😀
I'm ready for it!
Great video thanks. I will be transferring there in August when I come home from las vegas
My pleasure!
Good afternoon from Papua New Guinea. I enjoyed watching your contents
Thanks so much!
The upper number C gates opened May 2022. A lot of new gates opened at DIA in 2022. And yes, Southwest, United, and Frontier dominate Denver. But I’m going there this month and it’s expected to be close to 100 degrees F. Wouldn’t wanna be outside during that.
Ooof. Toasty!
@@YellowProductions The record for July 12th (when I’m there) is 100F and it’s expected to beat that in a few days.
The current DIA first opened in 1995 by the way. That’s the vintage of the more dated parts of the complex.
Awhile back, my flight to DEN was so late that United provided free shuttle to fancy hotel overnight (maybe 6 or 7 hours). Very nice airport for USA. DFW is same idea for American but much older. Incheon Seoul is much fancier in South Korea, yet supposedly SIN Changi is better yet? Moving Sidewalks seem to only be in recently built or renovated U.S. Airports. Guess it has to do with federal funding reimbursement😁 😁😁😁😁
Yes.. Singapore Changi is amazing 😀
This is one of my favorite airports to walk around and kill time out, but I’ve had so many flight delays and cancellations flying through Denver that it just makes me nervous to connect through there now. But hard to avoid flying out of Fresno, it’s one of the major east coast connection cities.
Agreed.. weather in Denver can be rough in winter for connections
I was wondering when you were going to do a video of my hometown airport! The craziest thing is that wasn't even the biggest "concourse. " All three of the concourses have different designs/sculptures in their center, the one where you were at (under the plane) is modeled to resemble Peruvian ruins, if I remember correctly.
I have a few more videos from Denver Airport coming up 😀
The Capitol one lounge in terminal A is also a credit card based lounge.
Thanks for the tip!
By the time DEN was finished it was already dated. You should do a SLC Airport walk around its alot if walking not going to lie about that.
I will be there in august going to Kentucky for a wedding last time I went to that airport me and dad almost missed our flight to lax because he didn’t know how to get around the airport
Only good thing about Concourse C is access to The Amex Centurion Lounge.
My home airport I love and hate it. I had a southwest flight one time that had me running back and forth on C they kept changing the departure gate and departure time. After we walked almost to the other end we heard our flight was leaving on time at the original gate 😡
Oof!
Hey it’s shit loads better than LAX.
@@mreppen1 I’ve never been to that one I’ve heard it’s horrible
@@Vegas.777 it’s like Clockwork Orange.
Where should we catch our train to go to a different southwest gate
No trains within the concourse itself.. trains will only take you to the other lettered Concourses
I couldn’t breathe in Denver - mile high too much
So when did moving sidewalks become people movers, and people movers become trains? I must be getting old if I don't know the current terminology. Well, I guess you can give the airport credit. They obviously designed the airport with expansion in mind, and maybe there will be a C1 in the future. The other major airline out of Denver besides United and Southwest is Frontier, and their new terminal at Denver will have no sky bridges; you will have to walk outside to your plane like you do for some of the regional flights; won't that be fun in winter.
And with enough time between connections, you can make a video between flights.😂
Indeed 😀
Good thing you didn't get attacked by Denver Airport demons. And there's a shoeshine vlogger at Denver who has a pretty big following, so that may have been why there was a line of people at the shoeshine stand.
Creepy airport.. Lots of strange stuff.
Where is your yellow shirt?!
When I travel i typically wear black so it doesn't reflect on my iPad or seatback screen
I don't drink Coors because of Coors donation to Project 2025.
