- A wild and windy Orkney in January meant that I was shooting long exposures handheld. The results were surprisingly beautiful and I had a great day which is always the main aim!
Hmmm...long exposures without a tripod... brilliant Margaret...love your work!!!!
Goodness Margaret. Such fine images. Especially the giant crashing wave. 😄
thank you!
Gorgeous work Margaret! Loved the images and the mood , oh my god, it's breathtaking!
Thank you !
Beautiful images. Such graceful energy. Such color.
Thank you so much Dan
Fantastic images Margaret, thanks for sharing.
Thanks John!
Well done, you have given me some ideas by thinking outside the box ! Cheers from New Zealand
Thats great - enjoy trying them out!
Great stuff - many thanks for posting
You are welcome Mark
beautiful images, they really capture what was going on. Love the style
Thanks Elizabeth - loving your ICM images at the moment as well x
@@MargaretSoraya It all got going after the March Harris trip. I'm enjoying it so much and having been brave enough to start posting!
Some great images in there!
Thank you so much Andrew
Very nice, Margaret
Thanks David !
You need a clip on style mic / lapel mike to defeat the wind 🙂
Lovely video - I am hoping to get back up to Orkney soon myself! Although it may wind up being put off until summer as we are talking about a family gathering in the homelands!
Lovely - enjoy. I am hoping for a summer trip over as have only seen it in the winter months
Love the wave shots, really nice. Need to try this myself
I hope you manage to get a chance to try it!
@@MargaretSoraya thank you. I've been using my 300f2.8vr2 lens alot for beach photos, just need the waves now
Was that Brough of Birsay? I got very emotional seeing Stromness as I was very lucky to live there years ago. Beautiful unusual wave captures.
Yes indeed - my favourite place. We always stay in Stromness as its just so gorgeous - so I understand!
These are a gorgeous set of photographs Margaret, I love the tones. I enjoy making my multiple exposure work the most. With no tripod, a sort of rhythm of shooting develops, once I relax into it. Not something I ever experience when using the tripod. :)
I love your work Wendy - I have only just started doing this and its real fun!
You always manage such beautiful images whatever the conditions.
Ha! i try my best :-)
