1. drink a lot of water 2. eat right 3. get rest 4 clean hair and keep moisturze(treat it like a houseplant). 5. trim ends 6. DON'T PLAY IN YOUR HAIR. avoid uneccessary manipulation and stress.
When I saw your husband helping you to loosen out your braids, I felt so proud of him. So many black men hate black women natural hair, they always seem to encourage black women to straighten their hair with relaxers, and damage their hair with chemicals. Keep encouraging black women to love their own natural hair. I am a mix race female, who have always admire black women who can grow their natural hair long.
Yes it does. If only most of us knew how important water was for detangling or manipulationing our natural hair while growing up. Instead, many of us were being told to avoid water so we could protect our hair styles. At times we should avoid water when you don't want a certain style messed up but other than that our hair needs water or moisture as often as possible to thrive and grow.😊
I do your detangling method with conditioner and oil mixture. However, I do this before I shampoo my hair. Then I shampoo and sections, then I condition a second time. Because shampoo always seems to dry and matte my hair
Such beautiful beautiful hair. I just added the step of a dedicated detangle session with a conditioner that has mega slip. Hadn't come across anyone else doing this. Now I see the benefits!! So glad you popped in my feed. Definitely a new subbie.
Thank you for this. I'm on a journey to waist length. I'm literally a half-inch away from bra strap length but one of my biggest challenges is detangling. I've used Tresemme when my hair was relaxed and it worked really well. Will see if it will work well with my natural hair.
@@dianneallen8004 So I’ve since gotten bored with my hair and decided to cut it 😂 My display pic is a recent. Will probably allow it grow it out a little longer but loving my short hair 😊
Boil coffee or green tea, let it cool and spray it on your scalp the night before or at least an hour before you wash. Stops excessive hair losss immediately. Coffee is a shred blocker
Your hair is absolutely beautiful lovely springy curls, keep up the good work thank you for your time explaining how we can all take care of our crown and glory God Bless you
6:54 gotta love your high tech graphics here 😂😂😂 I also condition my hair overnight. I use a plastic bag to get a good seal then I wrap in a soft cozy towel. Oh yes I like this video.
Ok I have been on a health growth journey for a month now and after watching your video I see what I am doing wrong. I do everything you are doing except stretching it. Instead of braiding I usually twist and put in a ponytail wet after I wash it but I see I should at least dry my hair then twist it up and put in a ponytail. Thanks or sharing
Janet I have a rev air and I have used it once. Thank you for showing me what to do. I usually were my hair in twist and the single stands are the death of me. I haven’t used heat since April and I wanted to straighten it tomorrow wish me luck thanks Janet!!!
Who else was lured here by that pink triple comb thing in the thumbnail and is mad that she didn't mention it in the video? 😂 It's on Amazon under pink detangling brush.
12:58 I Can Relate! Omg sometimes i am huffing and puffing when I do my hair, my arms hurt! Sistah we supposed to do each other hair lol I know id I had a friend to condition and comb my hair I would be less tired. Wow finally someone speaks truth on it! Sis all blessing to you!

My arms get so tired and I get out of breath , yes. We need to do each other's hair , yes. LOL
The only way I could grow my hair was by using heat to stretch out my hair or to texlax it and bun it. I'm trying to make it to the warm weather to keep from dealing with my hair in frustration. I don't have the rev air. I am going to thank you for your video. I am encouraged by your regimen.
Your hair is freaking beautiful 😍 (I'm not being negative so dnt come for me lol) but I was told/taught that OIL isn't a moisturizer. Oil is use to keep moisture IN after putting in a cream for moisture.
I used the lightest touch of oil (Apricot Oil) on my hair and mainly on the ends in mid shaft of maybe I never put oil on my scalp... not necessary for my hair type (and skin type which is oily anyway), my density & the diameter of my strands which is very mixed throughout my head. I only use oil as a sealant but water is more important for me moisture that's why I moisturize my hands when take a down strands taking down twists and braids which is about daily and it makes a big difference especially if you have low porosity hair.
I was taught that too,but then found out that, yes, most oils are sealants and keep moisture in,but there are a couple like olive oil that actually do penetrate, and nourish the strands rather than sitting just sitting on top. I use olive oil after applying water, and a leave in.
Hey love, definitely keep your hair in a topknot bun and wear a headscarf/headband if possible around the perimeter. I find that braid and twist out react more pleasantly to sweat than blow outs. Hope this helps xx
Ok I have been on a health growth journey for a month now and after watching you video I see what I am doing wrong. I do everything you are doing except stretching it. I will

MZ SISTA. Here is a video to start you off , watch all of her videos they will help. Then follow some of her treatments , especially alma. Be consistent on a regular basis , remember what is good for one may not be good for you, listen to your hair. Eggs with are good for Biotin , oily fish like sardines and salmon , leafy greens and veggies , lots of water, cut down on vegetable oils , grains , and sugar. Good fats like butter, ghee ect. Take time out for yourself on a daily basis, but most of all , give thanks. All the best in your renewed hair journey. Ps , silk pillow case , micro fibre or t- shirt to dry hair.
I use a brush iron after blowout to straighten my hair, and the night before I do this, I deep condition my hair, wrap it up in processing caps, aluminum foil cap, towel, edge protection wrap and sleep on it... next morning I wash the excess out, blow dry it and brush it with the brush iron at 390 (I use argan oil and other heat protectants in the deep conditioning) and I do the same thing at night. I put my hair in a bun on the very top of my head, as I learned, this is the only place where my hair won't break off. I put like a felt head wrap about my edges to keep them from being rubbed out or messed up by my night cap. I also got satin pillow cases as a back up incase the head covering comes off. I learned to do this from another girl on youtube years ago, wish I could remember her, she was the one who told me about heat being necessary to get moisture into my hair. My mom and other idiots told me to use cold water to wash my hair and stay away from heat, which ended with me having hair that was so dry, it literally rejected water and coiled in on itself instant dreadlocking in the shower, sometimes so bad I had to just cut my hair or use a relaxer just so I could detangle. Everything you said in here was definitely on point. I'm just glad there are people out there spreading the word to help sistas out here who're struggling like I was.
Great video🙌🏽 but ladies just make sure you research hydro fatigue because too much water left on your hair is like swimming for too long... your finger tips get soggy well our hair and skin are made of the same protein/keratin so know your hair ladies💯🙌🏽🤩😘
I have come to love braid outs for their simplicity but I find blown out hair frizzes out too fast for me. How often do/ did you wash your hair and how did you prevent an itchy scalp?
Putting God first is awesome. An I love your accent 🥰 I wash my hair every 3 day because it's short an I don't like products to build up on my hair..an my hair is very moisturized..but my question is. Am I washing it too much
From my research, yes the Revair is good for helping to hold moisture in your hair and that's one reason why I want one. The other is for the awesome job it does stretching our hair so well and it looks beautiful without all the heat. I just wish it was a little smaller. It's like a little vacuum cleaner. 😂😂
Thank you for making this video! I feel like I’ve watched tons of videos and this one filled the need to show how to grow hair by stretching it using heat tools. Can I ask what settings are you using on your RevAir? Thanks! 🙏🏾
I braid mine after wash but I have much smaller ones because my temples are so thin (hereditary 😢). I leave in two weeks…take down and rebrand…I wash once a month. Trying to find my way but my hair is almost mid back BUT it look about 3 years from shoulder length. Thxx for the tips!
Side note, it's not great for people with high porosity hair to detangle hair when it is wet. Hair is weakest when it's wet so flooded with water open cuticles it not a good combo Better to detangle on dry hair with oil and not to let your hair get matted.
People with high porosity hair need to detailed their hair with oil. And then shampoo. This keeps the hydrogen bond in tact...less breakage and shedding to. I learned this from a hair stylist and its helped me retain length and reduce shedding
