just for future reference you don’t need to remove the back part of the mc4 they’re sent from factory at a set tightness so the internal part you crimp onto the cable will just fit in then you tighten it, saved you time when you have 100+ strings to mc4

Thnaks for your video sir. I have a question that I hope you can help with. Is there a transmitter for solaredge optimmizer or the solaredge inverter itself supports PLC?

Not sure if this would be seen this late. But on a system I was working on I found two pannels on one end were not looped into system. What is the best way to loop it in doing the job alone?

Where would I buy the crimping and tightening tools?

called an mc4 crimper, the connectors are called mc4 connectors and the spanner is called an mc4 spanner.

Do you run the positive as a home run the junction box.

I assume you mean from the positive end of the string. In that case, yes. You could even bypass the junction box and home run to the inverter, but that would be a lot of PV wire, so better to use a junction box.

The fan washer belongs under the nut to the standard washer 😉 Your cast doesn't make sense.

Why would I ruin the optimized? You can’t just say things like that and not explain it. Your audience are tech people. Engineers. Mechanical electrical minded type As. How many people stop listening at that point and go what?!
