Before air-conditioning was invented, everyone had to keep a fan on them to stay cool in the summer. Troublesome as it may sound, one thing great about folding fans is that they never disappeared even after we got all sorts of cooling technology, and probably never will! No doubt thanks to the beautiful imagery of landscapes and scenery painstakingly painted on them by talented artists will keep each and every folding fan relevant as a form of art in itself, even long after the AC breaks down, hehe. Fan of Fireflies is a song dedicated to such artistry and masterpieces, in the meantime please enjoy the music!
P.S. Sorry for the long hiatus! This uploader was dealing with some real-life career problems and while things didn't quite go as planned, luckily nothing seriously bad happened either, phew. Now this was a welcome surprise. Like seeing an old friend after a long time apart.
Turning around, she took a look at the path she walked upon for so long. The journey had begun before she had realized, treading past rivers and crossing mountains. Passing by forests and sailing across seas, she had marvelled at the wonders of life, and lamented at the sorrows of departure. She had borne witness to the passing of time and the falling of seasons even as age swept across her like tides. The cycles of moon, the hymn of nature. The day caressed her with the gentle breeze of spring, while the night guided her with the trail of fireflies.
With every step she took, she had made memories that she would cherish until her very last breath. The joys and sorrows of a mortal were ever so tiny in the eyes of the universe, yet ever so meaningful to the companions she had encountered. She had dyed her own path, her life's journey, into a colour that was 'hers'-so vibrant and bright that it shone even in the dark.
Gazing forward, the scene before her brought peace to her heart. Closing her eyes, she engraved the sight into her mind. One day, all the sceneries she had seen would be weave into a beautiful masterpiece that recounted her tales.

*It's such a calming piece to listen to at night. It's been a long time since I've wrote a story, but I hope everyone enjoyed it :3 I've tried to depict the tale of a woman's life as she journeyed across the lands and seas. The beautiful poem above was written by Zhang Yuangan (张元干) that depicted a scene when the drifting clouds in the skies veiled the moonlight, describing how the glistening dew drops on the lotus leaves glowed like fireflies.*
