    I notice someone keeps giving you a thumbs down on every video. It’s some jealousy thing. That person is a miserable human. What they don’t realize is it still promotes you. Just laugh it off Steph. Keep doing a good job. You’re teaching so many people and those good people appreciate you. I love you.

      Thank you! I have noticed the same thing. I try to ignore it. It’s hurtful that people want to be mean. I’m creating art. If you don’t like it, just don’t watch. 🤷‍♀️ I appreciate your support. 😊❤️🌈

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo
      @BelladonnaDyesCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Jules! I really try to ignore it and not get hurt feelings. People are unhappy in their own life and take it out on others. It’s sad. It does take a toll on me though, I’m human. ☺️❤️🌈

      I can respect your opinion. Someone is systematically giving thumbs down on every tutorial I make. I’m not sure what the motive is. I think that’s what Bob is trying to point out. I think it’s a mean thing to do and it does hurt my feelings. I’m creating my art. It doesn’t feel nice to have people 👎 for no real good reason.

    That turned out pretty cool!
    One of the things I love about tie-dye is how we can make mistakes and still get something cool the majority of the time.
    I love how the blue turned out, especially where it's over the yellow!

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo
      @BelladonnaDyesCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Jess! I completely agree. Tie dye is beautiful even if it’s not 100% perfect. I love this art form. The blue is the star of this one. It doesn’t show up very well in the pictures, but the veins in the blue are really cool looking. I hope when I do this again I get similar results. 😃❤️🌈

  • @catekatz5855
    @catekatz5855 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah that blue came out amazing! Love the dye-ice cube idea. Thank you for sharing your trade secrets with us. I also appreciate that you leave in “accidents” like touching the yellow cube after the blue etc! That’s how we learn- from our mistakes/accidents. Cool shirt!

    I think it turned out cool because you did use thickened dye to make the ice. Otherwise it would have just been all blended together. I like the hammer tees, they feel softer than the ultra cotton. Thanks for another great tutorial! 💙💙💙

    Thats a very clever way to dye! I wonder if the dye would be more or less manageable if it was encased in lots of small ice cubes, rather than very large cubes. I have no idea, but it is interesting to think about

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo
      @BelladonnaDyesCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a fun experiment. I first showed these ice cubes in the Kaleidoscope tutorial and was asked to make dye ice cubes. I made the mistake of using old dye. If I were to actually try this technique again and cared about the outcome I would suggest using smaller ice cubes like you mentioned. I can see myself doing that in the future. 😎❤️🌈

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo

      Thanks, Gabriellah! The Fuchsia Red & the Lemon Yellow both had sodium alginate in it. Lemon Yellow has a tendency to be a color that bleeds more I think. I’m going to try it again without the thickener, that was an accident. 😉❤️🌈

  • @ms.j2309
    @ms.j2309 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Neat concept for ice dye. I noticed on a more recent video you said you prefer the honeycomb ice trays for certain projects. Would you consider using them this way? I think the smaller the cube, the quicker the freeze and the thicker dye wouldn't have time to settle? Am I on the right track? I really like the way this shirt turned out.

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo
      @BelladonnaDyesCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You certainly could use the smaller ice trays for this. This wasn’t the greatest representation of this method because I accidentally used thickened dye to make the ice. The globs in the Fuchsia Red and Lemon Yellow were the sodium alginate. ❤️🌈
