The best Supra/2JZ content on TH-cam! Thanks so much for your time/effort. Looking to pick up my 4th (and Freakn final MKIV here shortly), and I’m excited to follow some of you’re work.
The problem with these electric fans and others is the massive restriction of airflow at speed. The air the fans themselves move at speed doesn't matter. The OE clutch fan setup is designed to be passive at speed unlike this setup which restricts flow due to the shrouding which covers the entire front end which is required tomkeepmthe car from overheating when stationary. The only Supras overheating on the streets of TX, FL, AZ, ect have this electric setup. Cooler Carolina weather might have different results, but the OE fan would cool better there as well. IMO it's much less appealing to the eye as well.
with your clutch, focus on handling the power. i think you're wanting too much cadillac ride, but high hp car. and you can't have both. if you're trying to make 1k hp, it kind of negates the car being a daily driver. My clutch chatters to no end. couldn't care less because i know power was my focus, not comfort.

100% Ryan you deserve more followers!
I’ve been considering going electric fans controlled by PROEFI. I think it’s something I’ll do this winter. Just looks cleaner!
Can you HeliCoil it to step it down?
Can i get the part number for the fans they use?
Did you have to trim off some of the timing cover for clearance for the -20AN top waterneck?
I didn’t not, but it was tightttttttt fit
@PureFunction awesome man, thanks for the quick reply. Currently working on mine and ordering parts from both PHR and DUB
You think that manifold is too close to the ac lines? I always worried about it
Not at all, has more room then most do and hasn’t been an issue at all
Great job love the build
clean build! I can only imagine your car parts excel sheet 🤣
I love how Americans say a metric bolt and follow it with imperial length 😂
Y’all do the same thing with wheels 18x9 then follow up with metric offset. Lol
@@Tommyfitz01 holy Shit we do too 😂
