Gotta love professional theater! Even if I don't understand what they are saying, I can pretty easily keep up with the general idea of the plot and characters. The way they are portraying the game mechanics is brilliant - and doesn't feel shoehorned like many "game adaptations" often tend to be!

Just watch the Battles without Honor and Humanity series. Yakuza took most of its influences from those films. Yakuza is just too anime to bring to the big screen. It won't work.

I may not understand any of it. It may not be super professional but my goodness this play has such great passion and dedication. All the little details they added like health items, the little effects in the fight scenes, that little pause moment with that beat when introducing some characters. All of it was so good. Still great too how the actor for Majima was still in character in the ending bowing scene. Especially the very last ending bow, can't even tell if it was intentional or not that he got up first then back to bowing again
I think the Kazuma actor is good, it's just he's not as suave when talking as he is when he is making a stance or walking. The Majima actor is goated, pours his heart into each line, genuinely the physical embodiment of Majima.
I can't get over the fact that not only is kiryu rikki from kiva (all I hear when he talks is いただきマウス) but Nishiki is friggin Kouta from gaim. I love this Also, holy crap does this guy playing majima knows what's up. He's Killin it

変えられてる部分もあるけど原作の細かな部分の保管もあったり1と2の要素を短時間に凝縮する手法がうまいと思う。ドラマとしての話とゲームのネタの取り入れ方も。真面目とギャグの緩急のテンポが良くてダレずに見れるし、舞台演技はみんなセリフの聞き取りやすさや動きが良い。
This and the movie are better adaptations than the Prime Video series.
