Both the right and left cartridge guides weren’t removed along with the loading gate. The Post 64 model design created an easier design to remove them. Those cartridge guides can can cause a problem if not properly cleaned. It is also recommended to polish them along with the loading gate to slick up the action.

The gold plated 94 is not a “ yellowboy “. That designation I believe was for the 66 brass framed Winchester.
This is a commemorative 1866 - 1966 and is called yellowboy on the occasion of the centenary.
