I bought RGH04s and they are great, though I did consider the RGH01s for their simplicity and more minimalist presentation Thanks for the close-up. For me it would still be a coin toss. I really like my RGH pipes which are a real step up from my Delrin pipes (there are all sorts of measurement differences side by side, overall the RGs are very very stable in comparison with a wider variety of drone reeds (cane and synthetic). It's subtle, but if you put your hand on a drone while your playing you can feel the vibrations in the wood more strongly than the Delrin. I think that leads to some very subtle lower volume complex harmonics coming off the pipes. I don't have a good enough spectrum analyzer to quantify that so take it as OPO.
