It is effective. The constrain is the length of the survey line. If you want information about 30m depth you have to spread the line more than 60m on the ground. There are other methods also but resistivity method is cheapest one. A combination of Geological and geophysical data required for any kind of exploration. In groundwater department this geophysical method is using for groundwater exploration.
I depend on ground water test ...but was failure for me ,finally I backfilled the well dig by scientific method as there was no water. Later I studied the technique by L shape 2 copper rods. I tested it to detect the presence of under ground cables during my work.100 % it was successful same like cable detector. The 2 copper rods I used to find well location of my house and it was successful. The money I paid to.ground water surveyors and money spend on digging as per their suggestion was in vein

"You might have seen people searching ground water with gold. It is because of (this) property of gold". It is not in book directly. I had never seen such a thing until then and so I didn't give much concentration. So I don't remember what was that property exactly. But when I needed that at my age of 45 years, now, I searched extensively in the net for that. But didn't get any positive results I am Not spreading any false messages. But when I needed that at my age of 45 years, now, I searched extensively in the net for that. But didn't get any positive results
