The sisters are from Monterrey, Mexico, although this amazing concert was performed at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City in Nov 2022. Just like you would not call a Texan a New Yorker ; - ) they are proud “regias” (the nickname for people from Monterrey, Mexico’s second largest city in north and close to Texas).
August of 2022. They sold out two nights at the venue; the 26th and 29th.
I was lucky to be there in the 29th!

These ladies are awesome. They have played together as a band since ages 7, 10, and 12. They celebrated ten years as an official band last Fall. Don't miss the live recording of *Hell You Call a Dream* from that concert at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. They actually come from Monterrey, MX. Their fourth album, *Keep Me Fed,* is due out June 28, but they have already released five singles from it - *More, S!CK, Hell You Call a Dream, Que Mas Quieres* (in Spanish), and *Automatic Sun.* The band performs best LIVE, so react to their live concerts when you can. Everything from the 22-song concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (Ciudad Mexico, which is Mexico City in English), 08/29/2022, is excellent! Dust to Dust is the PROLOGUE to *Queen of the Murder Scene,* which is an epic ROCK NOVEL in four chapters of three songs each. It's their second album. They are young, but this is already "a golden oldie" for them and the early fans (band exist for more than 10 years, they where kids then)! And I still like it as the first time I heard it. They have "heavy" songs, ballads and more poppy songs for radio-playing, but it's always the rocking way. Can't go wrong with them!

Welcome to the The Warning rabbit hole 😊. This song is the prologue of their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene which was released when they were 18, 16 and 13. The Warning are:
Daniela (Dany) Villarreal, now 24, lead and background singer and guitarist
Paulina (Pau) Villarreal, 22, lead and backing vocals and drummer (Drumeo best rock drummer of 2023)
Alejandra (Ale) Villarreal, 19, backing vocals and bass.
They all play piano (classically trained) and write their own songs. Their 4th album will be out 28th of June. Right now they're on their 2nd European tour. Last year they celebrated their 10 year band anniversary. Their succes started in 2014 with their cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman. Jump in for hours of great musicianship! 😂
Prelude to the concept album to their 2018 album, "Queen of the Murder Scene." Fantastic performance - the whole concert is incredible. When this was recorded in 2022, leader Dany (Daniela) was 22, drummer Pau (Paulina) was 20, and bassist Ale (Alejandra) was 17!
Seeing them live on April 26th - can't wait. Best Rock band in the West.
What I find really impressive about Pau's singing while drumming is that she's singing while beating the tar out of the drums, and if you just listen to the vocals, you'd have no idea she was playing any kind of instrument at all.

The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 5 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "SICK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", and recently "AUTOMATIC SUN".
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

They're actually from Monterrey Mexico, but this particular performance was in Mexico City. Top band for sure, and (hopefully) this year, they'll get the recognition they deserve. They all sing, Daniella the lead guitar takes lead vocals mostly, although Paulina (drummer) sings lead on a few. Alejandra (bass) can also sing lead, but she prefers not to, leaving it to her sisters, although some live performances, she has sung lead instead of Dany, when Dany needed to rest her voice, or wasn't too well. They are also all classically trained pianists, and just all round humble and nice people.

The Warning is a great rock band! Love that they are keeping rock going strong! Check out their version of "Enter Sandman" from this same performance, it's next level! The Warning and Band-Maid will be performing together in Japan this summer, should be epic! All three sisters sing, btw.

The drummer, Paulina, sings while running on the treadmill so that she has the breath control to sing while drumming. She sings lead (or co-lead) on around 30% of their songs.
The bassist, Alejandra, was 12 or 13 when she wrote the bass line for this song.
Anything from this Teatro Metropolitan show is a good choice to watch. For some of their more recent stuff, they sang More and Evolve at the MTV VMAs last year. They also released a live version of Hell You Call A Dream a few weeks ago.

You've entered a rabbit hole that is more like a huge carnival filled with tons of pleasant surprises, no bummers, and crowds of friendly visitors just like yourself. The only minor caution is that the album "Dust to Dust" ccomes from a concept album (QotMS - Queen of the Murder Scene) about a disturbed young lady, so listening to individual songs can be confusing. D2D is the intro, followed by 3 chapters of 4 songs each. TW fans think QofMS is a masterpiece, and it was released in 2018 when the girls were 18, 16 and 13.

The band name is a provisional one that has existed for 11 years. The three sisters were supposed to have their first public appearance at a festival and couldn't agree on a band name. A few days before, they had agreed on the name of their first album if they ever made one. That's why they entered the name of the possible album as the band name: The Warning. There first EP was self-published in 2015 and is called Escape the mind.
The guitarist Dany (Daniela) is the main singer. The bassist Ale (Alejandra) is usually just the background singer. The drummer Pau (Paulina) received two reader awards from drummer magazines this year.
Best Gen Z hard rock power trio on the scene today. Drummer won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year, bassist is a Spector Bass featured artist, and the guitarist has been personally gifted guitars by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Matt Belamy of Muse, both acts they've toured with.

The prologue song to their outstanding concept rock Novel album Queen of the Murder Scene, that tells the story of a young woman who becomes infatuated with someone, stalks kidnaps and murders him and then her mind tears itself apart into at least two distinct personalities, good side and evil side. The story is told from the perspective of within the girls own mind and each song tells part of the story. These talented young women know how to write and perform great rock music. Dany the guitarist is the main singer of the band, but Pau (Pow) on drums also sings lead or shares lead on about 20% of their songs. Ale (Ah-Leh) Bass has also sung lead when Dany needs a break or is ill, but she prefers to remain just a baking singer in general. They are currently Dany 24, Pau 22 and Ale 19 and have been rocking the stage and blowing the minds of their fans now for ten years.
