- The president of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Kabore, has reportedly been detained at a military camp, amidst concerns of a potential coup in the West African county.
Heavy gunfire was heard around the President's residence in the capital of Ouagadougou overnight. The government has imposed a country-wide curfew after gunfire erupted on Sunday at multiple barracks in the capital. The soldiers want their commanding officers to be fired for failing to contain a Jihadist insurgency.

This is a message to France that African awakening is around
@CRAM MARC yes, could you imagine a french leader in the modern day with that kind of cast iron BALLS? no, no you can't.
@CRAM MARC Its tradition. Just like in Ethiopia. The leader goes to the front lines and leads his country. He is no better than the common soldier. Those people aren't better than you. Simp
This is about jihad. Keep your political belief out if here
@@cageybee7221 They need brains not herniated balls.
@@RUTHLESSambition5 The Ethiopian affair is completely different from these blood thirsty soldiers overthrowing elected governments.
The government was in denial, if you mess with West Africa soldiers you mess with your downfall.
The government did not have money and resources, France take a 80% and leaves the president with only 20% of the national resources. France call it colonial debt. France is a thief and is behind all the unrest in most Francophone countries so that, France can continue to steal. Africa unite to stop France from all the stealing, enough is enough
Amaka Okoye gave an insightful analysis of the situation. Thank you. Wishing the wonderful people of Burkina Faso, the best, will be praying for them.
I couldn't understand half of what she said. What was she trying to say?
@Don Princo I think she's saying that at the time of reporting there has been unkown factors of victory declaration and the government hasn't said much for the situation nor had the coup. At the time there was not much solid info on who had control
@@maskedabba4894 Thanks so much.
When there is fear of a military coup in a country it's never very comforting when the person facing the media to tell you everything is okay happens to be wearing a military uniform.
Great analysis from the correspondent. She read pretty well the current situation.
All French governments in African countries must go,
Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 Needs change.
Go ahead Revolutionary forces 💪 👏🏿.
We wish the peace for the world this year 🙏🏻
Not going to happen
2020s look like a decade of turmoil and war
Wish the wonderful people of Burkina Faso the best, will keep them in my prayers.
4 African to be fine. France most leave Africa alone they are only destroy all the French speaking countries in Africa
Very true through their intelligence agencies
🤔isn’t it strange that Francophone countries are imploding…..
@@sarahashun1180 The president of Rwanda did a good job when he banned French language
What do France gain from remaining in Africa? Why they not leave like the English
@@tommyh4116 they can't survive without Africa it's where they get all their resources without paying for them.
They really should keep eyes wide open to see who is causing those unrest/coups around the world... Last year was Myanmar and this Year started with Kazakhstan and now this
They need to sell weapons 🤣
Coups everywhere it seems. Terrible! Please be careful and help each other.
Anytime there's coup d'etat, Ecowas leaders imposed sanctions. Another one happens, they imposed sanctions..
Those sanctions aren't the things that will avert/prevent coup d'etat from happening in West Africa.
Mali 🇲🇱 => Sanctioned
Guinea 🇬🇳 => Sanctioned
Now, Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 => Sanctioned
Ideally, your sanctions are futile. Ecowas leaders are sleeping 😪
Why does the world ignore Africa and there struggles. It’s a beautiful part of the world. Sad it this type of thing happen elsewhere there would be more media coverage and outrage. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 for the people.
May peace remain all over the world
remain? we've never achieved it
Could year 2022 be any worse already?
Edit: 1:17 I'm really impressed how he could pronounced that instantly. Seems correct as it matches the written name.
Wagadoogoo
These coups are good for Africa. There's a new generation coming to power that is really fighting for a true independence and democracy. Because of these corrupted politicians/presidents imposed by France, the African population is suffering... I'm sure more coups will take place in other West African French colonies countries...
Uganda 🇺🇬 wake up😊
I’m wishing best and safe solution for all people from Burkina Faso.. military coup attacks always bad idea for democracy and peaceful environment
A coup a day keeps the doctor away. Literally.
IF WE WANT OUR FREEDOM AS AFRICANS AND IF WE WANT CONTROL OVER OUR LANDS, WE MUST PAY WITH OUR BLOOD AND THOSE OF OUR ENEMIES
Ouagadougou?? Damn that's a cool capital name...wonder where's that name comes from
Really? That's all you've picked from this 😂.
C'mon Alex...
@@kalomboC I mean I've heard so many coup in the past year to the point that I'm not surprised anymore...but that name tho, it's cool and I really want to know the origin of it
Mind your business
The name comes from a bad transliteration of Wagdogo made by illiterate French colonisers who didn’t speak Mooré
Why is the news saying mutiny? The president is a civilian. How is not in the ranks of the military. Smh
Well done French speaking. Get rid of all puppets then delete that rubbish language. You either with us or you leave us.
Also delete both arabic religions too

All these things are happening in French colonized countries.
Lol, u know d already, France wnt to control these nation 4ever
Sudan and Ethiopia were colonized by France ?
You shouldn't need to ask your army to protect your country, that's their only job. If you have to ask...
Like the news, my take. If I heard right, the commander was speaking French. France is being kicked out of some Africa Country's, that is a lost of revenue, and raw material. As France is being pushed out in other country's, France is doubling down on others, just saying, my mother told me, if the shoe fit, ware, ware it..
All french African govt control under france people don't know this thing
My family sponsors a child in Burkina Faso and I hope he is safe
Freedom is never free. A dictator can rise into power anytime after a coup.
ofc they support by france
Good news in Burkina Faso
This is not a coupe d'etat but , it's the failure being made by the head of the state him/herself
Word u can’t be having submarines pull up while people fishing u gota get these guys outa there 🎣
If only the CIA didn't have Thomas Sinkara overthrown back in the 1980s
It's about time west Africa , It's been long enough it's time to take care of the french puppets .
An extension and product of NATO intervention in Libya which can be categorized as ending in debacle. And the consequences of it are the rapid spread of instability in the west African countries.
The recent gains in the democratization of these countries are gradually being eroded by military coups. And no doubt a retrogressive development because the military has no right to forcefully arrogate or involved in civil governance.
It is not helpful in enhancing or strengthening democracy and the rules of law and development.
And it is sinister for outside power to promote military coup in Africa with a purpose of destroying democracy for geopolitical influence.
People so poor and yet seeking for wars.
It's so unwise.
I thought I saw Djaimon Honsu
they should put sankara back in charge oh wait france killed him...
We need not worry. God is always on our side. We shall overcome. If they can't negotiate , they can't plan and therefore bound to loose in the country of our Gods. We have stepped on toes.
possibly Sierra leone is coming very soon
We're still doing this?
Yeah Ghana will be next.
Wumaos : must be CIA 😝😝😝😝
No, I don't think so. The president was a French puppet. The West is calling for his release.
Roaring 20s
Welp!😳
Have not lost control… yet
Soon very soon
Oua ga dou gou doo, push pineapple, shake the tree
Burkina Faso ,previously French colony, will see many similar turmoil as old habits r difficult to change. Let them war.
He does nut know de whey mah brudders
French must go
How long will they continue to be confused?
Very ironically, wouldn't they be happier to be colonized by European countries? 🤔
seems like the people there know what they want, the military to fight the jihadists.
No, they were just as bad! Incidentally, if the Chinese were colonised again by the Europeans, at least you would have freedom of speech, worship etc. Hong Kong will never be the same, now that the CCP have got their grabby tentacles on the country just like Tibet.
Their economies are still controlled by France and their puppet leadership , they are just taking care of the problem
That's how they got in this position
I'm no longer waiting for the GRANT LOAN because I earn $29,700 every 10 days recently.

Scam
Hahahahaha 😂😂😂😂
Africa always have unrest. We should Help them gave them good education and training to their governments and officials to how to tackle problems
That is why they have so much conflict because everyone intervened to begin with.
@darzsh no it wont the country is landlocked
@darzsh no it wont the country is landlocked
@darzsh African Singapore ? He was a marxist. Burkina Faso would have been African Venezuela
It seems you have no knowledge of what's going on , France controls everything in west Africa , including Currency , they mine all the resources, bribe leaders who support them , create problems to justify military occupation that does nothing but stay around mines . West Africans are just taking care of the problem.
