Like the other landlocked area that had a recent coup...Niamey. What is the plan and where is the competent budget to implement the plan that shall improve the quality of life for the entire population?

A year or so ago I was stationed at a hospital in country neighboring Burkina Faso. A badly injured patient was brought to the center. Before performing surgery I noticed something peculiar about the one who brought the patient. He was very calm , stood straight and had a keenly observant eye. I asked if he was an army officer but he denied. He was very supportive of the injured patient. A few weeks ago I saw him again - President of Burkina Faso. There was something about him!

And the big difference is that, while Sankara had not a single other nation on the side of Burkina Faso, this time the fire is catching on. Africa wasn't mature for a revolutionary vision 40 years ago, when Sankara tried: in shaa Allah we may be ready now. Peace!

@@octobersky9639 Sankara’s aims were the “democratic and popular revolution” to be primarily concerned with the tasks of eradicating corruption, fighting environmental degradation, empowering women, and increasing access to education and health care, with the larger goal of liquidating imperial domination. During the course of his presidency, Sankara successfully implemented programs that vastly reduced infant mortality, increased literacy rates and school attendance, and boosted the number of women holding governmental posts. On the environmental front, in the first year of his presidency alone 10 million trees were planted in an effort to combat desertification. On the first anniversary of the coup that had brought him to power, he changed the country’s name from Upper Volta to Burkina Faso, which means roughly “land of upright people” in Mossi and Dyula, the country’s two most widely spoken indigenous languages. He ultimately wanted to be rid of France’s leeching and hold on Francophone Africa

I hope he becomes an inspiration for other young leaders around Africa to fight against corruption and bring Africa to the glory it is meant to be. With so many natural resources in our continent, we shouldn't be living like we got nothing, and constantly asking foreign countries for aid, while in reality we’re the ones who are keeping foreign countries afloat. Really tired of that sick deplorable script. Africa has been kept down for far too long. Time to stand up and show our true potential for glory. If we start using our God-given natural resources like it's supposed to, we can become a beautiful and formidable continent.

We want an economically prosperous Africa away from the influence of its former colonizers, less corruption, easy to do business & bring prosperity to others.
