Good soldier knife but expensive. Good hadle. You get more support on thumb and heel of hand with a wider guard. More comfortable than a steel guard. Fast in hand and good in any grip position.

A soldiers pay isn’t enough to spend that much on a knife to either lose it, break it or have it stolen. It’s only useful for one very sinister yet cool purpose!
Military knives are more likely to be Ka-Bar, Gerber Strongarm/LMF etc, utility is the main purpose and fighting if in an emergency.
However it is an absolute work of art!!!!

Ka-Bar is a brand, not a model. It makes daggers as well. And one doesn't need to be in the military to face combat with a knife.

Why not just buy a gun instead of spending $500 on a knife
Wow cool, so there’s a monopoly on basic functional looking knives, and you’re not allowed to do this cheaply, that’s why there’s a massive floor of crappy knives with all these weird designs out there, because they know the normal looking ones sell, so they jack the price up and hype it up.
Spartan now has a very similar Marine Raider dagger that Les George also designed with many of the same features. The difference is that the V-14 is $500 and the Raider dagger is sold by Spartan for around $150, but it usually runs around $100 on various online retailers. I have a green/black V-14, but it's so expensive that I'd never use it. The $100 Raider dagger is cheap enough to for me to be unconcerned if it is taking damage.
