    After getting the ECU removed and sent away for a Woolich Racing flash, it was time to start removing stock exhaust and installing the Vandemon.
    I love doing a lot of my own work.
    I am not the best mechanic in the world but I enjoy the process of talking myself through things, taking my time, and making ideas work.
    You'll see a lot of this here.
    If you plan to do this type of install yourself and have questions, shoot me a message. I'll try and help or at least point you in the right direction.

    Hey what is the blockoff plate (or in your case a plug) blocking off anyways what is that hose?

  • @kaikou1098
    @kaikou1098 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you sort out getting the lower right fairing piece back on so that it isn't touching the exhaust pipe? The bracket and hardware they included didn't seem to provide a solution. Seems like I'm going to need some spacers for the top two bolts and a really long spacer for the bottom bolt.

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bent the L bracket a little and found a slightly linger bolt and nut. With extra nuts on the bolt, I was able to set the spacing without it moving. Not perfect and definitely not my first choice, but it worked.

    Is there a plug in adapter to fool the ECU when you removes the oxygen sensor off the stock exhaust or is only way to have it turns off in the ECU? learns so much from your channel on how to take an H2 apart your attention to detail to protect the bike as you take it apart is 1st class I would trust you to work on my bike any day

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! I try my best to not break my stuff. When I'm working on other bikes, I try to show the same care. It's a pride thing 😎. From my knowledge, the only way to get ride of the code is to clear it at the ECU via a flash. I remember on some older bikes you could trick the ECU with paper clips or little clip on things but not here.
      The woolich flash kit I purchased came with a pig tail to easily connect. Now, with the data logger installed, I can also easily connect from there.
      Thanks for the support 🤙🤙

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When I put that piece of fairing back on, I saw that the bracket was touching pipe. The kit comes with a small L shape adapter. I bent it a little more and used a longer bolt with similar thread to hold it all together. Unfortunately, it vibrates enough that it still does make contact with pipe just a tiny bit. Besides a tiny surface DING in that one spot,, it hasn't caused any significant damage so I haven't sweated it. Not ideal, but I couldn't figure out a way to avoid it.

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to clear them through the ECU. At least on my bike that's is how it worked. I can't say for sure on the older models. With the Woolich software it was extremely easy to see what warning codes where displaying and clear them.

    What’s the reason for plugging the hose or adding a block off plate that u speak of at 6:10

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dont quote me but I think it has something to do with letting extra air back into the exhaust which causes a lot of popping. The plug was a temp solution to avoid having to do the block off plate install. I ended up putting block off plates on anyway.

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know a ton about tuning but apparently block off plates are a must to get tuning correct.

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are doing this install, just put the block off plates in while you have it all apart. You'll need it anyway. In another video, I go though that process.

    • @xavierimpala
      @xavierimpala 4 ปีที่แล้ว
