The fact you have Telemachus being a baby his so much harder when you realize he is around 12 and will be over 20 by the time he comes back. And that's just how he remembers them
The “son of Prince Hector will destroy all you care for” becomes even deeper historical speaking when you take into account that the Romans considered themselves the descendants of those sons and daughters of Troy that escaped its destruction at the hands of Odysseus and the Greeks… and would have their “revenge” centuries later when Roman legions brought Greece and the Hellenic world down to their knees.
I really love how Zeus's vision clouded Odysseus's surroundings and teleported them to Asyntax's crib, showing the power of the gods, Odysseus's confusion, and how it was all happening too fast. Lovely work!
the way zeus looked at ody while telling him hes not ready. he KNOWS. killing an infant, no one is truly ready. ody walked in blind. too late to back out now.
THIS. IS. AWESOME. it's straight out a gorgeous animatic! The way you drew Hector giving his helmet to his son just like the myth!!! And how you made him look happy for his son yet bumped about going to the war!!! I could talk about how amazing this animatic is for hours!!!
Everyone’s been popping up with these incredibly Epic the musical animatics and I eat up each and every one. Yours was so awesome! There’s something so aesthetically pleasing about the way you draw the characters (especially their noses)! Truly epic.
Oh my gosh this was beautiful and clean! I absolutely adore your designs and all the little details you put in the characters themselves. And Oh Gosh. The bit with the rain after the intense thunderstorm,, showing how Odysseus' desperation withers off into grief-filled acceptance... that was stunning
This is incredible!! I feel like you're familiar with the source material just from the little details. Also, I think this is the first animatic that I've seen of this song that actually shows the horse.
Only found your channel after 600 Strike, but now i have to watch all of these! Your designs for Penelope and Telemachus are great! I love how yoj do hair! Seeing Astyanax playing with Hector made me cry! I love the choise to keep Astyanax's future form still looking human, so eefective!
Odysseus: " it's just and infant it just a boy what sort of threat does he pose that i can't avoid. " Zeus : " this is the son of Troy's very own Prince Hector know - " Odysseus: " Oh say less I know how much of an absolute smoke demon Hector was during the war and it took Achilles to take him down and we don't have Achilles we have Diet Achilles his son so don't worry I'll take care of this. "
This is the final version of the song THATI for Epic the Musical, based off the Odyssey. In the original myth, it was Neoptolemus ("Neo, avenge your father, kill the brothers of Hector") who threw Asytanax (Hectors son) off the walls of Troy with Odyessus' advice. In some translations, Andromache (who had her entire family murdered by Neo's dad, Achilles, including her husband), Astyanax's mother, is forced to watch him be killed. Some translations state Neo later uses the baby's corpse to beat Priam (king of Troy, Hector dad and Astyanax granddad) to death in a church.
@@teaspyllz3936Neo's actions are sad in consideration of what Achilles did for Priam. He returned Priam's son's body so he could have a proper funeral and his spirit would not dwell among the living. Even after Patrolclus' death. Neo then destroyed everything, with no respect for tradition. But that's war I suppose.
In the original myth, they (Achilles' son, not Odysseus) threw the infant (Astyanax) over the walls of Troy to fall to the death. Not sure about the musical, sadly, but if it follows that story then maybe.

Telemachus is 10 when the Trojan War finishes
And 20 when Odysseus returns
True because the line your as old as he was when I left for war

Can I just say how much I love this comment? Thanks for the extra bit of information!

This is amazing! Where is the song from because if I can find this musical you bet I’m gonna watch it!
Whats the name of t he musical and where i can watch it fulllll
Epic. It's coming out monthly and only the Troy saga and the cyclops saga have been fully released. In that order.
Next saga to come out is the Ocean Saga(hopefully really soon)
Is there a part two?
Main character looks like Aizawa from Bnha
Is this legit!? Did odysseus kill the child in the end?? Please tell me no it was too cute to die
I am sorry, he did. Zeus is a jerk. He could have let him raise the boy himself >:(
