    Great vid. I would wager that you are a excellent teacher you have given a great unscripted and unedited bit. As always enjoyable and educational thanks

    These are good videos because it's like we just happened to walk into your workshop as you are doing each step.

    Thanks Harry for all your shows. Been collecting leather working tools all last winter and just started doing a couple projects. Mistakes every step of the way. Costly in time and materials. I call that tuition. One must pay tuition. That is a very interesting heater. What fuel would I use to avoid collecting soot on the tool? Alcohol? Have no internet access in the winter but watch as many of your shows that I can. Thanks again.

      Richard Knight Hi Richard..yes alcohol will be good for that....it's difficult with learning but as you say just accept it costs....I have found the same!

    Also the heater you came across does the top have 2 uses 1 to cover the wick and 2 it doubles as the stand for the crease r .not sure just a thought

    Hello! Are you a left-hander Harry? What do you use for skiving? I have the Tandy safety skiver but it's a real hassle to use as it is built for right-handers only.

      Corvus The Dark Hi A French Skiving knife with a curved front edge and sharpened on a monocrystaline diamond 600 then 1200 grit and then stropped on leather is perfect for left or right handed use.

    please what is the name of the cutting tools you are using

      @harryrogers  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most of my tools are made by Dixon, now closed. Osborne are another good maker for belt cutters and Barnsley for Head Knives etc
