Roxas showing up in KH3 fully killed the series for me. I never cared for Roxas really. The plight of the nobodies didn't sway me at all. Like dude you shouldn't exist on multiple levels, get over it.

I really like how the series draws parallels between Riku and Young Xehanort a few times. Once in BBS when Terra looks at Riku in Destiny Islands and in DDD when Young Xehanort holds his hand out to Sora

I'm hoping to buy Kingdom Hearts 3 soon, so my sister asked me about the story of these games that I've Loved for over a decade. I tried explaining the story to her, and she got very confused and said " this is the game with the Disney characters, right?". It absolutely floored her that the story was so complex.
I disagree with people saying Kh has a terrible story. It is great, you just have to take time to review the full lore and analyze it fully in order to appreciate it. Eventually it will all make sense in time. Also, people have complained about Sora's positive attitude in KH 3 as though the last game had no effect on him. People like Sora exist, specifically those who strive to stay positive and retain their humanity in the face of adversarial struggles. It also seems frustrating Sora didn't get the girl to many, but to me it reminds me of how relationships don't always start when you want them to.
Thank you and your friends for taking the time to put this together. Being that this will be my first KH game and knowing how much of a story the series has this will definitely make my KH3 experience a much better one!

One day, I’m going to have a child, and when they’re old enough to understand bedtime stories, I’m just going to pretend to make up the Kingdom Hearts storyline. Then, when they’re older and I’m gone, they may be able to play the games and relive the stories their dad told them as a kid.
They should have a system where you can leave prison, but you have to literally recite the entire kingdom hearts lore in one sitting. And if you get a single fact wrong, you immediately go back to your cell.

I've played almost ever game and still missed a lot this video pointed out. I'm in love with these games and only 2 I played I didn't care for because of battle mechanics like the card battle system. But omg just the intro to kh3 had me tearing up with nostalgia. The animations and worlds are gorgeous and the battle mechanics are crazy fun. The game was a bit easier than most kh games but that meant nothing in the face of nostalgia and an amazing story with memorable characters from such an amazing set of series

i wish there were subtitles as i had a hard time understanding several passages, but it's a good video! i've been loosely invested in kh since 2013 without ever *really* getting into it, so this helped a lot.
