i'm really glad they're back together when playing, but discord cutting out loud noises from Arin was its own unintentional bit of comedy
They actually recorded this together, it's just the mics they had for the new office were set to different output setting which would make it cut out.

I love how he cracks up after Dan corrects him, like he just then realizes how ridiculous what he said sounded
I like how with such authority Arin says it a xylophone and the game reveals it's a marimba but even its wrong. Marimbas are big, usually 4 octaves, sometimes five. But, that is clearly a glockenspiel. Commonly known for being just 1 octave.

It's actually just a difference in tone and the material used. Notes and octaves are no different. XCJ is just trying to be cool. And now begins the "dogs barking through a fence" exchange.
Hello, I'm dating a percussionist. There is a big ass marimba in my living room. To define simply, big ol wooden thing with bars that's 6-7 feet long = marimba. Tiny little thing with wooden bars that fits in your lap = xylophone. Big ol metal thing that's usually 4ish feet long = vibraphone. Tiny little thing with metal bars that fits in your lap = glockenspiel. All need to be smacked with various types of mallets to be played properly.

I love this playthrough. I remember watching it while drawing comics, and now when I look back at that particular portion of the story in my comic, all I can think of is Dan playing Link's Awakening!

I was just casually listening to this in the background while doing stuff, when I went to check the time stamp I was shocked to see it was at 42 minutes ! It felt like 5 !
So many amazing moments from this series. Time to watch it, then download it, then use it as one of the many Game Grumps sleep aid compilations to keep the murderous voices from taking over :)

The moment they played Spoiler Owl at 2:05 with the pic of a robin and the screech of an eagle was one of the most perfectly crafted inside joke moments that ever made me spit up my lunch in front of my manager at work because of how hilarious it was xD. And after I explained it all to him, he totally loved it too. Lol

Ironically Arin bringing up about the spotify app change to car mode is one of the most thought about game grumps moments for me. I almost never think about how they mentioned it was built up to be much more, but I agree that shit is annoying. I can't look at the changes cause I'm driving and I'm just trying to switch playlists.
Regarding that UFO thingy, it originated in Long Beach. I was driving around up that way and saw that whole convoy go whizzing by late at night. Your mention of having a Sidekick phone would put my experience in the correct era, though I wish I could recall more about it. I was heading home from a booty-call gone wrong, so my head wasn't all there.
