A few takeaways in my opinion. 1.The Ravens as a team choke in the playoffs. 2. Lamar is making progress every year in both the regular season and the playoffs. He's getting better. 3. This receiving corps isn't going to work. They don't have Andy Reid, they need a true #1 AND #2 for success (Flowers was hurt so Bateman was the #1... wtf) 4. Monken needs therapy or something to figure out why he abandons the run in the playoffs. The second Henry started gaining steam they took him out and put in Hill. Ultimately I think Lamar gets too much hate based on his early career performances. If Mahomes, Allen, or Burrow had that exact same game. Turnovers in the 1st half but then led the team down to score multiple times as well as 2 great drives back to back but the TE fumbled then dropped the ball they would be forgiven. With Lamar people say he's garbage though. He played a D game in the first half then an A game in the second and played really clutch for the comeback. In the past he failed the team, this year the supporting cast failed him.
All your points are spot on, the only thing I’ll argue is Mahomes, Burrow and Allen. They would only get amnesty because they have played well in the playoffs. Lamar’s narrative follows him, it’s unfair but I understand it. Facts he’s 100 percent getting better in the Postseason.
I agree with everything except point number 4. The abandonment of the run in the playoffs started prior to Monken. I think it’s Harbaugh. Different OCs yet we still abandon the run every year ???
I agree about the first 2 points, and kind of the 3rd (their receivers are good but not great). And the 4th I strongly disagree. The bills were stacking the box and stopping the run, so the ravens punished them with the pass game perfectly. They scored on every drive they didn’t turn the ball over, and didn’t punt once. They didn’t need to give Henry more carries, they were moving the ball well. It was literally just turnovers, not play calling.
If the subject is Playoffs you cannot compare Lamar to Mahomes(Nobody playing right now came close) Allen or Burrow. Besides that i would agree with most of your topics. Lamar does not get hate. He is just one of the 4 best Q.B in the league but when it cames to Playoffs he has a hitory of underpeform. When you are an elite Q.B people will expect more from you when it matter the most. I think peopel who love Lamar are not capable of looking at him objetily and get emotional when Lamar gets critized. Hate and Love are both emotions. You will find more peopel who "love" Lamar than "hate" him.
@@rorytribbet6424he potentially could be. He's a great route runner, great hands and is tremendous yards after catch. Give him as many targets as andrews gets and he'd put up big numbers.
Mark is gone after 2025 season. We can't afford his big contract, we have more important ppl to sign in 2026 like Hamilton and flowers. Tight ends are a dime a dozen and Baltimore has a track record of drafting superstar tight ends, I wish we could've gotten Brock Bowers last year@@raymondrak961
(1) Re-sign 1st team all-pro FB Patrick Ricard. (2) Although Baltimore lost, largely because they turned the ball over 3 times and Buffalo never did, they showed me something in this game. That last drive was special. The Ravens are definitely one of the best teams in football. And, yes, Lamar Jackson is one of the very best quarterbacks in the game.
@@billquantrill4960, I did not write that Lamar is "the" best. I wrote that Lamar is "one of the very best quarterbacks in the game." I agree with you that for Lamar to be considered a truly great QB he must be a great playoff QB, which he has not been, yet. Lamar's career playoff record is 3-5.
@@billquantrill4960 He said “one of the best” not “the best” he doesn’t lose any more often than the other non Mahomes quarterbacks like Allen, Burrow.
The only constant is Jim Harbaugh, when the talent is evenly matched in the playoffs, the more disciplined teams with elite head coaching wins. Preparation, calmness and high IQ wins. Harbaugh gets away with accountability because he won a Super Bowl 12 years ago. He is a barker against winning
I agree, it’s not just Lamar, the ravens as a team make mental mistakes like drops, fumbles, at a way higher rate in the playoffs. Lindenbaum snapping the ball over Lamar’s head, Andrews with 2 drops and an awful fumble, even Henry had a bad drop. What that comes back to is coaching and having the team well practiced and ready to play. Harbaugh never gets any blame, and people forget he was on the hot seat before Lamar saved his job. Not saying he’s a bad coach but he deserves some blame.
@@donovan4222John is the issue. This has been going on since 08. He’s not a play caller, he doesn’t design plays, he owns no true scheme, mismanagement of the clock/time outs, lacks the ability to manage games, out and lets the players pretty much decide the fate of the game vs making it easier. If he’s just a lock room high moral coach then I feel he needs to be moved to front office give him a motivation/coaching personnel role or something because that’s what he’s great at producing quality coaches for other teams to have and “no body chants” but on game day he’s a liability. I’m on the fire Harbaugh train but it’s gotta be done in a way that doesn’t kill the spirit of the team. Keep him around but not a HC imo.
I think Lamar needs to personally build a relationship with Peyton manning, since he’s essentially the same person. I feel like he was less antsy like he said but when stuff starts going wrong then he starts forcing. It’s like this game was half old playoff Lamar and half new playoff Lamar. Hopefully this is the last time we have to say he could have played better and he finally gets his ring
Thats not a bad idea. And we are honestly in a not so bad position. We are what the Bills were 2 years ago after losing to the chiefs in the afc championship game. We deserved to win but the Bills had experienced far more games and agony in the playoffs. Just enough pain and agony to understand that they need a simple formula to win.
I think Peyton would be a great coach if he wanted to go down that road, or even just a mentor as you suggested here. I don't think they are close to the same style of QB and the MVP candidate isn't the problem, so I would look elsewhere for fixes.
The problem with the Ravens roster is not who are a FA this year but needs extensions in the next 2 years. Hamilton, Linderbaum, Humphrey, Mark vs Likely, Henry if he stays, Bateman, Travis, Pierce. The drafting and player development will need to be on point these next few years
@@ecd8660 Decosta is one of the best GMs in the league, so I don’t think the roster will be a problem. I’m more worried about Harbaugh’s coaching and what happens if Monken leaves.
Hamilton and Lindebaum will get signed. Humphrey we will most likely let walk. Bateman won't cost that much but he might get a better deal elsewhere. Not gonn be able to afford Travis and piece, especially with what they're paying Buike.
The Ravens will be fine. As long as they have Jackson, you can be sure that the ravens will have a chance in every game that they play. Andrews has to go though. Likely has been the better player since last year
@chopin1970 He literally led the ravens in rushing and passing before they got Henry. Jackson has been the one carrying the team all these years. Remember that Harbaugh was on the verge of getting fired before Lamar saved his job
@@difference018bruh it’s wild. He’s the only player in history that has always had to lead his team in passing and rushing every year AND play perfect every playoff game for them to win. Maholmes threw 2 PICKS in the Super Bowl and still won. Brady threw 3 PICKS in the Super Bowl and still won. Lamar hasn’t won a single playoff game where he’s had just one turnover. Thats insane. Lamar can play better and not turn it over. But the team as a whole cannot overcome any mistake he makes which is wild. So either your players aren’t good enough or your coaching isn’t good enough. Great teams overcome mistakes in the playoffs at times, not all the time, but sometimes. The Ravens have never had a single playoff game where they have. So I think you need to get a new coach that can get the best out of their players in the postseason through motivation and preparation. Harbs never have these guys prepared for the playoffs mentally
@chopin1970what the actual fuck lol. He make the Line better by buying Time and legit every runner have a career year with him because they have to watch him everytime. Remember 5 yards a run Edwards ? He is not even playable without Lamar. He is a top qb year in year out. You can Win with That.
Its not Jackson, they are stuck in the same cycle as the Steelers. They just look better when doing it lol. Its like Tampa Bay with Dungy. Harbaugh is not terrible he just can't get these guys over the hump.
The ravens situation might be more frustrating than Steelers because the ravens have a multiple mvp Winner and they can’t win the big playoff games. The Steelers are over performing every year this year the Steelers were projected to win 6 games.
@chopin1970 I am not saying its Harbaugh fault. He just can't get these guys across the line. Hey Dungy was a good coach, he just could not figure out how to guide the BUC's over the line. Your not going to get a better QB than Jackson anytime soon.
@chopin1970The Bills were more disciplined this game. Their game plan was a mixed bag, but what really set the bills over the edge was the turnovers ie fumbles on Lamar and Andrews.
@chopin1970harbs definitely wasted 2 timeouts before 1st and second half. He definitely decided to go for 2 TWICE in a game we didn’t need to. he’s a gambler on the sideline that turns bad situations into worse ones. He lacks logic, he’s not defense or offense oriented, calls no plays and has no true scheme. It’s time for him to watch from the box as a front office guy.
@@Hurmspeedyas a ravens fan…if Tomlin had Lamar and Henry it wouldn’t even be close, Harbs cost this team a lot more than a average fan will see. I could drop an essay on how much of an issue it is. He’s a hard headed gambler on the sidelines that never takes ownership of mistakes. Our Oline coach passed and John has been stubborn with make changes and rotation because of ego. Steelers and Browns shouldn’t be able to compete. They only do because of incompetent coaching
This Chiefs fan was happy with the result of this game. Was not looking forward to seeing Lamar and King Henry run roughshod over the Chiefs poor run defense. I was surprised they didn't feed Henry the ball more in this game. Even if you're down 14 in the 4th quarter, you give him the ball.
I never understood why the ravens have never had a simple quick passing game. You see other teams like the chiefs and bills adapt this. I have never seen a Ravens quick passing offense since maybe that 1 year Kubiak was OC.
I don't know. The issue here is that the Ravens are like the Steelers. They don't fire coaches, and rarely make any personnel changes unless people retire or their contracts expire. The only differences here are Lamar Jackson and the fact that the Ravens have better PR people.
@ Yes Lamar made those mistakes which got them behind, but he played a near perfect 2nd Half and handled the pressure much better than in years past especially in the 4th Quarter. Why does he continue to be let down even though some of it was his fault.
Notice how Andrews never catches the ball with his hands! Always tries cradle the ball that’s why he drops it. There’s even a lot where he caught them but almost didn’t. Reoccurring problem that’s never addressed by the coaching staff
It’s not a recurring problem, your confirmation bias is showing. If the ravens won this game all credit would go to Lamar, so since they lost it all the blame should go there too, on the guy who touched the ball every play.
@ didn’t say Lamar didn’t deserve blame LOL what I’m saying is that andrews always tries to catch the ball a certain way and has had a dropping problem in the playoffs. The fact you Don’t know that is showing that u are a casual. If he would have caught with hands maybe they would have won.
The Ravens are doing well the last two years because of Todd Monken, they’re offensive coordinator, he gels very well with LJ#8. The problem looking forward is, he has a few meetings as a head coach. If Todd Monken takes a HC job elsewhere, there goes the Ravens’ future. Im speaking as a Ravens fan too.
That’s a fact, Harbs never can form a relationship with OC he has a bad track history. We don’t even have and identity under Harbaugh. It was tough defense before he came in 08 and continued to be due to culture but offense comes and goes with the OC. I ft we shouldn’t have ever “tailored” an offense for Lamar because he out grew it in a year anyway he’s always been a spread/option guy which we ain’t seen until Monk. Time for Harbs to hit the front office with Ozzy n the boys. He’s not a play caller, schemer, time manager, or anything come game day
Harbaugh and McDermott are both great Xs and Os coaches and leaders of men, who drink a gallon of paint before making key decisions in big games. McD tried like hell to give that game away at the end, and Harbaugh let terrible 2 point calls happen.
Old guy here. I keep thinking, why didn’t the ravens run Henry like a crazy dog?? He’s an absolute beast carrying the ball, use him till he’s tired. Run him till the defense stops him, man I just don’t get it. I think the Ravens need either a new coach or a new coaching philosophy. It seems like they just want to showcase Lamar as this great passing QB. He’s gets highlights, but when the playoffs come, he folds. They need to develop and coordinate their running and passing game to complement each other. I think they need to change it up to be successful.
@@A.I.M101 Not running the ball at the goal line was a bad call. Don't know if that was on the OC or Harbaugh. More carries by Henry might have made a difference.
Well, the airport, then home. Next week, probably do some film review at the clubhouse. Then some time off. Come summer, back to training camp. Preseason, then do it all again. Lose in the playoffs to the Bills or Chiefs, rinse repeat…
Not sure what else needs to be done this off-season... The only thing left is to trade for a "psychologist" and replay these events next year with different results
3 MVP’s, 3 playoff wins, a top 5 defense almost every year, a 2k yd rusher this season. Lamar just doesn’t handle his business when the season is on the line.
what a braindead take, did you even watch the game? Lamar has consistently overcome early issues to put his team in position to win and gets let down by other players. It's the same story every year, Mark Andrews even cost the Ravens the 2019 playoff game. It's never on Lamar, his team isn't able to elevate to his position. Lamar drove down the field 88 yards to put his team in position to win yet again and was let down.
The top 5 defense couldn’t stop the run, and Lamar drove them down the field for a 88 yard td without his two starting wr’s and his “star” TE dropped a wide open 2 point conversion
Fire John Harbaugh he allows every year to be the same story. Hire Ben Johnson hes the best candidate maybe ever. Trade Andrews it should have been done earlier. Likely had shown he was on the rise and Andrews to start and finish the year was horrid. He should have been traded at the mid season mark. Draft edge CB and OT and Wr. Literally nothing but Van Noy and Humphrey are getting to old. So replace Stanley in the first or Van Noy. The team should be the best team easily. But here we are again. But honestly fuck this team, season and the NFL in general as they rigg games for the chiefs and Vegas. So who cares.
They're going nowhere. At some point you gotta face the truth. They're just another team in purgatory. Lamar isnt good enough in the playoffs, it's just that simple. Yeah IF he had a much better receiving core and IF mark andrews just held onto that ball and IF, IF, IF. Making up for your team's flaws is in the job description, if the job is being a QB who's also the best and the highest paid player on your team. He's a historic QB, he just cant be to the ravens what mahomes is to the chiefs or what burrow is to the bengals or what allen is to the bills.
Bingo. Its multiple problems for sure. But lamar is one that needs to go. If they only wanna get to the playoffs hes great, if they wanna win in the postseason he cant do it. He plays like crap and doesnt know how to manage a game to win
@@alexpowers9158 you said "win" how many Superbowl wins do Josh Allen and Joe Burrow have? You mention get to the playoffs. Did the Bengals make the playoffs this year or did they lose to the Patriots a team they should have beaten early in the season?
@koolkai4299 Burrow went to the superbowl. Burrow and Allen dont have 11 turnovers in 8 games. They dont have 2+ turnovers in 50% of their playoff games.
Since day one I've been saying the Ravens NEED a WR corps that is at least AVERAGE. JK, Hill and Gus were great because of Lamar, so Henry is now... but then brought OBJ who was already way off his primeso all the pressure went to all the young WRs which only Bateman survived to this day. I think GM needs to start putting the money in the right places because every year since Lamar arrived, the cap spaces is a mess
This way too rosy a picture. You have players like Oweh that will likely demand an extension. Do Ravens do so? If they do hard to see how they Keep Stanley. Also players like Van Noy, Pierce and Hump are not getting younger. Ravens off season is going to be difficult, very difficult. Given success of aging LTs that went to other teams, Whitworth with Rams and Brown with Niners, Stanley is going to get big money from someone. Ravens also have some players on big contracts that even if they were cut loose contain a big chunk of dead cap space: Marcus Williams for one. Washington knows he has a ton of leverage and again not hard to see another team back up the brinks truck for him. Also yes Defense got better but that needs context. Ravens played some woeful offenses towards back end of the season. The one time they played a good offense? The defense struggled and Ravens lost to the Eagles. Giants with a back up QB, Browns with a whatever is breathing at QB and a Steeler team without their lone WR threat. Even the Texan game, that Texan oline is one of the worst in the NFL. When was Ravens D matched up v a good offense? With exception of Bills game early in the season, they struggled. So when you out those stats up they are not telling the full story. For example, I realize Bills didn't do many long drop backs but where was the Ravens pass rush? It barely registered, even when Allen did drop back (was a bit surprised Bills didn't take more shots down the field).
Ardarius won't get some huge mega deal. Last year's safety market was loaded and teams didn't value them that highly. A 5'8 DB at a non-premium position with only 1 year as a starter won't be getting huge money. He's a good player, but teams aren't clamoring for him. Pre-June 1 cut for Williams saves 4m.
Jackson actually played well, but his fumble was costly. I think play calling was horrible. How can you have Henry and Jackson in the backfield and throw a pass for the attempted 2 point conversion? I agree, they dont need to make wholesale changes. And dont forget Trey Flowers was out for this game, which undoubtedly hurt the passing attack. The biggest question for me is how long Henry can play at this high level (after all he is 31 not, so his longevity will be limited). As long as he is playing at the current level to complement Jackson's running and passing, I think they should be fine, and will eventually win a SB. I really dont think Lamar choked in this game, but he didnt elevate his game to meet the challenge either.
No one noticed that monken isnrunning the same offensive plays that roman ran? Who's the common denominator? If the scheme didnt work under roman why would it work under monken? You can fire monken or he can get a head coaching job, but it doesnt matter who our OC is if they have to run a john harbaugh offense. Different play caller, same results. And harbaugh is not getting fired as long as the team revenue is up and ticket sales are up and tv viewership is up. So the ravens are essentially going to ruin lamars career to keep the tram revenue up😂
If the ravens didn’t go for 2 earlier and just kicked the extra point, they could have tied the game with that last touchdown…I don’t understand why coaches try to grab that two points early…
This is as far as John Harbaugh can take a team, playoff disappointment. The 2012 campaign was a veteran lead squad, since that, he has shaped to locker room in his image and this is what we will get. Lamar plays his best ball in the regular season, but true to Harbaugh form they panic and it leads to too many insurmountable mistakes.
Move Harbs to front office and either promote another coach or find one, Harbaugh is the real reason this team stays stagnant. On game day he’s a non factor or causing the team to have to battle harder because he doesn’t manage the game at all, wasted timeouts, and no control of the team at all.
Your first point about hiring a cheifs coach, they already did that in Greg Lewis. I think there was one before that a few years ago, passing quality coach or something like this but they moved on I think. Stanley has helped the team out before with cap so that might make him less motivated to take a pay cut this time or maybe he's a team guy that llikes it here, Gotta resign ricard tho. Washington probably leaves for the reasons you say, if Geno stone doesnt get resigned afer the year he had, Washingon likely wont either, however most ravens safeties don't do wel once they move teams, not always but mostly. Last year was frustrating because it was 1 yard away, this year it just felt like back to the same old shit, never used hendry until they were down by 11. It was clear to see in the 3rd that the Bills had a hard time stopping the run ... I just cant understand the thought process of not running 70% of the time when you have Lamar, DH, Ricard ect. Hoping DH doesnt regress next year which seeing that freak of nature probably wont happen, and we'll run it back... whats the worst that can happen, a 3rd sad loss in a row ... bring it. Credit to the Bills, good game plan, took advantege of Raven mistakes and proved they are the better team this year, hope they can beat the cheifs but I hope the Balls win it all, Daniels has been fantastic to watch and I hope it continues.
Ravens could have kept Flacco to make the wide open throws Lamar made all season with his receivers first in separation. When it’s playoff time and the coverage gets tighter and your running back can’t get 100 yards is when you see the real Lamar.
The Ravens were never as good as they looked this year, they got blown up by a lot of momentum wins with huge leads, because the Ravens have always been unstoppable with positive game script. Case and point the offensive line, they took some huge chances building this line, and the difference in quality with the Bills was notable. The result was an above average unit that looked incredible with certain matchups but has a lot of defined weaknesses which Lamar was able to paper over for most of the season, but bit us in the end. Stanley fell off fairly hard in the later part of the year, hoping that figures into salary negotiations. He's an average LT as this point with plus pass blocking and negative run blocking, but unfortunately that's still worth a kings ransom in the NFL. I realize he has no obligation to us, but we still supported him for years through a terrible injury, that and a longer duration contract will hopefully bring the price down. Makhari is a weird player, elite interior pass blocking against speed rushers but a lot of that is contingent on timing the snap and perfect technique, so he's a penalty magnet. He can also get jacked up by power, and his ceiling is low in the run game, especially power. At the end of the day he's just not a natural guard and was the limiting factor for a lot of near big plays in the run this year. Much more exciting is the man behind him, a red shirt rookie Vorhees, who got starting time and could have played in the second half of the year if called upon. He's coming along as a pass blocker, struggles a bit against speed and length, but very good against power. This makes him a better match to put next to Linderbaum who still struggles against elite power. He's got a high ceiling as a run blocker, with the ability to move men in power, but a very good blocker in space, he could help create a lot more explosive plays on that side of the line. Linderbaum is going to be the highest paid center this year, and a perennial top 3 player a the position, unfortunately stuck behind Creed in the AFC for All Pro votes. That said, he's a very good pass blocker, arguably his weakest area, albeit someone who needs bigger players bookending him to help against elite interior power. He never loses quick. That said, he's the best outside zone blocker in the league now that Kelce is gone, capable of making the hardest reach blocks and special downfield blocks to spring gigantic runs. He's the reason we started the transition to zone in the first place, he'll continue to be elite. Faallele is a bizarre player, he looks like he should be a dominant down blocker, he isn't, he looks like a dominant interior pass blocker, he is when he manages to get hands on the rusher, but he loses instantly when his get off and foot speed are a problem. He'll never be a plus zone blocker, they had to work around him a lot with Linderbaum and Rosengarten. Overall he feels like a player drafted for the Roman power regime, it doesn't feel like further development is worth it given we are going into year 4, easily the position most in need of replacement this year. Roger was probably the second best rookie OT this year, and I'm over the moon with him, but he's not Joe Alt, you can't trust him 1:1 against quality rushers, especially power. The next step is gaining good weight and power over the offseason, hopefully getting to the point he doesn't need to sell out against power, and can generate some push as a drive blocker. That said, he's probably already an average overall pass protecter at RT, and has an extremely high ceiling in outside zone. He'll benefit a lot from more consistent pass protection and zone blocking at RG.
My hope at WR is that Bateman and Flowers continue to advance and they either develop or acquire a better quality WR3. I'm sure Ravens fans will do the usual WR1 song and dance, which makes no sense at all other then giving them an excuse to watch highlights in the offseason. Both players are under contract for at least another year, both are young ascending players who Lamar is still building a rapport with, there's simply no room for another major piece. In particular people will clamor for a possession receiver, because "Muh Boldin". News flash, Lamar hates throwing contested balls, even to his 6'5" TEs, he always has, there's a reason that Ravens stay away from that style in the Lamar area. Flowers is the most important skill player on this team IMO and their best solution to quick pressure and man looks with sweeps, screens and short routes. He's already a top-16 WR, he has top-10 ceiling if he learns to be more efficient in his routes and decisive in the running game. He's currently best in the slot, uncoverable with a two way go, and good YAC guy who could be great if he dances a little less, NFL CBs wont overcommit. That said, we need him more deep and outside, and to do that he needs more of Bateman's stem efficiency and nuance, he absolutely has the tools, he just needs the awareness and composure. Bateman is an odd duck, arguably already a top-20 X receiver who probably would have already broken out with a different QB. The big problem with Bateman is that his game relies on precise routes, and so while his separation is highly consistent, it often takes time, and the windows are relatively short. He'd dominate with a Burrow/Goff-esque anticipation thrower, but he's important to getting Lamar to be more comfortable throwing to a spot (although miscommunication in the playoffs highlights the issue). If Lamar continues to develop as an anticipation thrower, Bateman arguably has the higher ceiling and could end up the team WR1 in 25'. No idea after that, plenty of room for competition. I think we have enough pieces to dump Agholor, call me sentimental but I think Wallace deserves a modest second contract as a ST/WR4 guy who brings value as a blocker and YAC guy. Walker is the main development piece, first and foremost he needs a healthy offseason and to work with Lamar. He also needs a better release package against NFL quality press. Best case scenario, he becomes the dedicated deep option on 11 looks, where he can use his long speed and ball tracking to free Flowers and Bateman to hunt for matchups. Absolutely need competition, personally I would like a RB-at-WR player who can threaten on screens and short routes, I don't want to be caught with our pants down again if Flowers misses time.
TE is going to be a weird and potentially painful situation I love Likely but Andrews will always be the better player even with his recent struggles and they will struggle to pay two top-16 TEs long term. They don't HAVE to make the decision next year, but they need to in order to harvest trade value. Lamar's preferences will be critical here, he loves both players, but Andrews is special to him, and that might override any rational arguments the team has for trading him. That might prevent the team from signing Flowers/Bateman long term, but then again that might have been true anyway. If they draft TE in the top-3 Likely is gone, otherwise look for a cheap blocker in the late rounds to compete with Kolar.
harbaugh is just gonna keep holding this team back unless he change his philosophy on receivers. he wont accept a "diva" receiver and we all like that about him but it just not the formula the ravens need right now. lamar needs a guy he can count on to throw the ball down field.
This was the Ravens year. Lamar choked the game away. You dont give up 2 turnovers in the firsts half and win any game. Even if they won he still choked. Hes 28 sure, hes lot every playoff game with multiple turnovers in them. Its time to move on if they want to win in the playoffs.
I thought the Ravens were the best team in the league this year “and last”. That being said the struggled out of the gate falling behind 0-2 and their season was not as good as last. Tucker is probably the main reason for those losses. I think they will put together yet another great team that should win a Super Bowl. I have great faith in ED and Harbs to pull it all together. Out of that list of FA’s Stanley and Richard hold top spots. I’ve been saying to trade Mark Andrews a couple years now because of his trade value, now is the time… Also let go of the few players that were poor performers because the other FA’s on that list deserve a chance to be here…
They were the best team last season talent wise, but they weren't the best team from a coaching, playcalling, and mental perspective. That was and has been the Kansas City Chiefs. Futhermore, the Eagles are better than the Ravens. The Eagles simply beat the Ravens when they played them in Baltimore, and they did so without their 2nd best reciever Devonta Smith. Derrick Henry got body slammed to the ground by Zach Baun that game, and the Eagles vaunted big athletic defensive line destroyed the Ravens o-line.
@ You’ve made you’re point and I have no arguments against it. If we were to face the Eagles, I would’ve been a little worried. A rematch we don’t get to see now. The Commanders are gonna bright a fight too… split the season with the Eagles.
Lamar is just gonna come back and take the ravens to the playoffs again. I think the coaching and the roster has to change drastically for them to make it the Super Bowl
WTF ARE YALL TALKING ABOUT?? WTF IS THIS DOOM AND GLOOM REFLEX about Lamar if he doesn't get to the Super Bowl EVERY YEAR?? Lamar is in YEAR 2 of a real NFL offense. Half of this year his defense was LAST in the league against the pass and his OC didn't understand how to use DERRICK HENRY. He and this team just lost the Divisional Game against the WEATHER more than against the Bills. WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE??? WE GET BETTER ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE AND TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS NEXT YEAR. How does that happen? Strengthen the OL. Upgrade the OLB/DE position to truly compliment the DTs who weren't spectacular but were solid. Then improve the WIDE RECEIVER DEPTH- Lamar completed that last drive with his 3rd and 4th string WRs who are a steep drop-off from 1 and 2. The Ravens STILL do not have a TRUE #1 big, strong, fast WR. Pittsburgh, Cincy, CLE, Houston and MANY other teams have better depth and talent at WR. Eric De-Costa is WASTING LAMAR'S PRIME by not giving him the weapons MODERN NFL QBs must have. Lamar's genius upgrades these guys but stop relying on him to do it all. After that, they also need a legitimate #2 power, physical RB to spell Henry. If they can get a solid #2 there's no reason Henry can't play another 2 or 3 years. ALL OF THIS CAN BE ACHIEVED THIS OFF-SEASON. If they do the OL and WR they will be in the SUPER BOWL next year.
A lack of talent isn't why the Ravens have lost in the playoffs. playcalling, turnovers, and penalties have cost the Ravens the last 2 seasons. The Ravens were the best team in the NFL last season and had the superior roster vs the Chiefs at home as the #1 seed with a historical defense, the league MVP, and lost. This year Lamar threw an interception, fumbled the ball. Then Andrews fumbled the ball. The team is undisciplined and chokes in the biggest moments in the playoffs.
Baltimore doesn’t need to give up on Lamar. This is no different than what we see with Buffalo. Josh Allen was supposed to win a Superbowl years ago according to “experts”. They fell short year after year. This year they may finally break out. They at least have a chance. If you have an elite quarterback you continue to go back to that well until it’s clear there’s no shot. It took Manning years to finally get by Brady, years for Steve Young to get by the Cowboys. You keep tweaking the team until you find that right combination.
Trade Andrews for a 1st and 3rd, Pay Likely, Pay Hamilton. Get help on the Oline, Cut Brandon Stephens. Get another CB. Make Kolar your TE2 get a TE in the draft. Resign Wallace to be your WR3
Never seen someone who is so underwhelming in the playoffs get defended as much as Lamar. Rodgers became underwhelming in his later years but he was on fire early on
Thebproblem with Baltimore is their coaching is not good enough to beat elite teams that have elite coaching. Harbaugh and his coaching staff are trash. Eric decosta is overrated.
The coaching staff did not drop passes, throw interceptions, fumble the ball away, or commit a preventable safety. Shyt happens in a game no matter what kind of coaching you’re getting.
@@mortalstorm your job is to have your guys ready for any and all conditions. The idiots running the Ravens had their guys slipping and sliding and fumbling .
A new QB isn't a guarantee we make the playoffs. With Lamar we know that we are going to the playoffs. I was rooting for a SB this year but I knew next year is our year. We lost too many people and a new inexperienced defensive coach. It took the defense 11 games to start performing well because of this. Lamar just can't try to perform them Superman plays in the playoffs and we will win.
They're going the same damned place they go every year in January, the couch or Cancun. Regardless of how many MVP's you give Lamar, he still isn't a championship QB. Every year the same result and every year a new cast of scapegoats. Lamar is the Mike Tomlin of QB's, the results are not good enough but yet they remain blameless. Lol. 🤡World
A few takeaways in my opinion.
1.The Ravens as a team choke in the playoffs.
2. Lamar is making progress every year in both the regular season and the playoffs. He's getting better.
3. This receiving corps isn't going to work. They don't have Andy Reid, they need a true #1 AND #2 for success (Flowers was hurt so Bateman was the #1... wtf)
@@tgs5725 I'm pretty sure flacco's laughing his ass off!
I'm not even mad honestly. Isaiah likely earned that starting job Mark is done after that man
Likely would have just come down out of bounds, dude. 🤣
Mark Andrews will not be going anywhere. He is a key part of the Ravens offense. You don't part ways with someone for a dropped pass.
Ehh. Likely is a really good tight end but he’s not quite elite.
Lol. Um, "the very best" doesn't lose routinely and predictably, bro.

💯
Every other team in the division would be so happy if they got rid of Harbaugh. Just like they would be happy if the Steelers got rid of Tomlin.

The Ravens will be fine. As long as they have Jackson, you can be sure that the ravens will have a chance in every game that they play.
Andrews has to go though. Likely has been the better player since last year
@@difference018 They should keep Andrews if they can but if it’s between him and likely they have to keep likely
No he doesn’t. Andrews also got us a crucial 3rd and 1. And caught a down field pass on that last drive.
@chopin1970 Lamar does deserve some blame sure, but you know who really costed us the game? Mark Andrews and Tyler Linderbaum.

The fact you

They need to develop and coordinate their running and passing game to complement each other.

what a braindead take, did you even watch the game? Lamar has consistently overcome early issues to put his team in position to win and gets let down by other players. It's the same story every year, Mark Andrews even cost the Ravens the 2019 playoff game. It's never on Lamar, his team isn't able to elevate to his position. Lamar drove down the field 88 yards to put his team in position to win yet again and was let down.
The top 5 defense couldn’t stop the run, and Lamar drove them down the field for a 88 yard td without his two starting wr’s and his “star” TE dropped a wide open 2 point conversion

I think GM needs to start putting the money in the right places because every year since Lamar arrived, the cap spaces is a mess
they traded for dionte johnson who everyone knew was a diva but would have been the best WR lamar ever had and harbaugh immediately alienated the guy.
They go to Cancun . And look at comments of there fans telling bills fans that they can't stop Lamar and that henry is going to run for 250 yards .
Well they couldn't. Ravens just also couldn't hold onto the ball.
Our only two offensive weapons since 2018 (Lamar and MA) are the ones who coughed it up when we had other weapons 😢
Give likely a starting spot
Home. To Baltimore.
Pass rusher is number one priority . They do it by committee go get a Elite guy
Ravens could have kept Flacco to make the wide open throws Lamar made all season with his receivers first in separation. When it’s playoff time and the coverage gets tighter and your running back can’t get 100 yards is when you see the real Lamar.
The guy who led a potential game-tying drive save for a drop?
bad take
Wide open because Lamar can dance around for 6+ seconds. Yours is a ridiculous comment. Cherry-picking a stat line without context is lazy.
Horrible take and Lamar had 254 yards passing
Ravens gonna Raven
TE is going to be a weird and potentially painful situation
I love Likely but Andrews will always be the better player even with his recent struggles and they will struggle to pay two top-16 TEs long term.
"To the Pro Bowl." They go to the Pro Bowl. Easy.
Every team has the same ...Where do we go from here.....Cut out the turnovers and drops in big playoff games
Lamar doesn’t deserve another MVP until he stops choking in the playoffs. He’s Dan Marino.
MVP is a regular season award dumb ass. And Marino wasn't a dual threat quarterback nor do they have similar careers
Lamar will win a Super Bowl one day, but it might not be with the Ravens
Good morning everybody
1 2 3 Cancún!!!!
harbaugh is just gonna keep holding this team back unless he change his philosophy on receivers. he wont accept a "diva" receiver and we all like that about him but it just not the formula the ravens need right now. lamar needs a guy he can count on to throw the ball down field.
They lost the game before they even entered the stadium. Exactly like the previous 6 seasons.
This was the Ravens year. Lamar choked the game away. You dont give up 2 turnovers in the firsts half and win any game. Even if they won he still choked. Hes 28 sure, hes lot every playoff game with multiple turnovers in them. Its time to move on if they want to win in the playoffs.
I think every Ravens should be given a choker to wear lol!
I’m depressed.
Henry didn't run for 90+ so Lamar failed the team .
The ravens need an offensive coordinator with more creativity
Fire Harbaugh.
Habitual playoff chokers
Baltimore doesn’t need to give up on Lamar. This is no different than what we see with Buffalo. Josh Allen was supposed to win a Superbowl years ago according to “experts”. They fell short year after year. This year they may finally break out. They at least have a chance.
If you have an elite quarterback you continue to go back to that well until it’s clear there’s no shot. It took Manning years to finally get by Brady, years for Steve Young to get by the Cowboys. You keep tweaking the team until you find that right combination.
Go get a physical type wr.
Trade Andrews for a 1st and 3rd, Pay Likely, Pay Hamilton. Get help on the Oline, Cut Brandon Stephens. Get another CB. Make Kolar your TE2 get a TE in the draft. Resign Wallace to be your WR3
lmao , you think think this is madden? who the hell is gonna give a first and third for a tight end😂😂😂😂😂😂
@ minus what happened last night he’s still worth at least 2 draft picks
After that game you’ll be lucky to get a 5th for Andrews
@@MrG100000 Tony Gonzales was traded for only a second round pick, ravens wont get a 1st and 3rd for andrews
No one would trade a 3rd round pick for him cmon dude
Never seen someone who is so underwhelming in the playoffs get defended as much as Lamar. Rodgers became underwhelming in his later years but he was on fire early on
Try again next year
Thebproblem with Baltimore is their coaching is not good enough to beat elite teams that have elite coaching.
The idiots running the Ravens had their guys slipping and sliding and fumbling .
lamar jackson MVP my ass lol, he can't make it to the superbowl lol!!!!
MVP is a regular season award. That being said, Lamar needs to start playing better in the playoffs.
What does the superbowl have to do with the MVP? Lmao
if you think that bad wait till you hear about aaron rodgers and peyton manning.
Allen hasn't made it either. Plenty of legit QBs don't. AFC teams have to beat the Chiefs to make a SB, that's insanely hard.
@anthonysclafani3963 Joe flacco is laughing his ass off!
Nowhere! Ahahahahahasaaaaahahahshahaha*cough cough* hahahehheho…etc
Trade Lamar
Move on from Lamar they need a new QB
I agree, could use him as their 2nd string running back with Henry
@Sperry778 u r getting the point every year is the same thing,he can't get the job done
@mrs.lovely8527 I get it but if you keep him next year will be the same thing again u guys have to move on for the best in the future
@@AkimJohn-x3z you have 0 knowledge of how pro football works or you're baiting
They're going the same damned place they go every year in January, the couch or Cancun.
Regardless of how many MVP's you give Lamar, he still isn't a championship QB.
Every year the same result and every year a new cast of scapegoats.
Lamar is the Mike Tomlin of QB's, the results are not good enough but yet they remain blameless. Lol.
🤡World
lamar played fine, the team came up short
Well lame'r gets to hang out with patrick queen while watching his idol/kryptonite Mahomes 3 peat
get a new QB first thing to do!
Home, they go home..
