The reality is that most Inuit under about 40 really don't care about Inuit culture and most dont even speak the language. My cousin began his career in the RCMP by working among Inuit. He wanted to learn Inuit but had to learn from an 80 year old man who also taught him culture.

Its just sad that younger generation don't bother with their traditions.

Because the Europeans have suppressed their culture so much, to the point where not even their own have any motivation, or pride, or inspiration, to be Inuit. In fact, for them it probably feels more like burden.
You should be proud to be Inuit! 💪

Brian Fuller That’s not even the reality.. maybe it is for him but I’m half Inuit and whenever I go up north to my mom literally every child there knows Inuktitut, and every adult teaches their kids our traditional skills..

Nothing remains the same. People learn new customs and leave the old behind. It's the way of life.

Of course...we want to forget all native cultures..this should not be a surprise. Cheif ilini gone, bitching about the Redskins, get rid of cheif wahoo (Cleveland Indians). Just make it a all disappear into one culture.

@@Louis14022 actually we (I'm of Inuit decent) are related to Mongolians. We share very similar genetics and even a few traditions and customs... Asking questions is never stupid... Your rude reply however was pretty stupid because you gave an answer to something you knew nothing about. Manners, education and respect is exactly what is lacking in way to many people these days
