My 1st appointment is in 12 days. I'm treatment resistant depressant with chronic anxiety, OCD, ADHD etc. Have been on at least a dozen SSRIs and SNRIs, have tried TMS, ECT, talk therapy and partial hospitalization. I hope to God that I feel some relief from the dark, ruminating thoughts and severe anxiety.
I’ve been on Spravato for a year and a half, taking it twice a week. This drug is definitely causing memory loss. I don’t think it works very well. It does not eliminate depression, but almost changes you into a new person. I’d rather be the person I was 30 years ago, without depression, than a new person, meaning, always in a fog.
I've been dealing with depression for years. I wish I had known about sprovato the effects have been good for me. One medication after another failing 16 in total. I had ECT done too (18). Seek out sprovato if possible and at least try it
I've just been approved . Hope it's up to the hype . When I called Neuro I thought it was regular Ketamine , which I was told by a veteran was better .??
I'm going to going to my second treatment tomorrow and I am excited. I already excited. I already feel better.. I had some high blood pressure but it is better 💯❤️ good luck to you ❤️
I should have added a month later after being approved . The TMS Neuro had me ask Cardiologist , he said no . So it was back to my butter and trying to stay awy from stupid people . This way less chance of snapping ? One foot in front of the other , so to speak ? Say's the man with one foot . Actually the stuff I've done and been blessed to experience . Lucky to have the one left !!
@@MrIlovebmw86 It turns out my cardologist won't let me try it ? So Still at my edibles ( makin' butter since '85 ) and burn one . Pray that's as far as I let myself go ??? In enough pain , no way to get away from it .
Depending on the protocol prescribed, the duration of treatment can vary. Most often, the course is daily appts a half hour or less for about 7 weeks. There are accelerated options, but insurance companies will not cover that option at this time.
There is no “mild” disassociation in my case. It’s bad lol but well worth it. That’s the only side effect I get from it! It scares me. I wish that part didn’t happen.
I've had multiple surgeries in the past few years. During surgery, they give you MASSIVE amounts of K compared to the spray or infusion treatments. But I don't want up from surgery and notice improved mood, etc. That made me doubt the effectiveness of this med.
I disagree on the time part. TMS you need to come into the office 5 days a week for SIX weeks. The ketamine treatment is 1 to 2 times a week….yes its longer sessions but between commute time its way easier for me to start with the ketamine
Did TMS work for you? TMS is non-invasive, with very few and mild side effects, if any. Esketamine has more side effects, including death for those with cardiovascular comorbidities, though rare. TMS is also often able to be covered by insurance, where it is much less common for esketamine to be covered. Esketamine is also more expensive, if paying out of pocket. In addition, esketamine can only be administered at an outpatient facility, similar to TMS, but requires a recovery period under observation after each treatment, and patients must have arranged transportation home as clinics cannot allow patients to drive afterwards. For these reasons, if not more that I've missed, TMS remains a more feasible option. The success rate is very promising and many of these roadblocks I hope will be mitigated soon, especially insurance coverage. I hope it doesn't become an at home prescription, because the risk for abuse is very high, so that's another concern, and any adverse reactions from that could set everything back and end up eliminating it as an option altogether.

Thank you. Starting treatment next Wednesday. A bit nervous but hopeful.
@Michael Ross thanks but Not my wheelhouse. I’m barely able to get through this. Kr@tom got me into this mess.
You talk about TMS, could you explain more on that? What is it? How much time? Insurance coverage? Thank you

Thanks for asking
@@stevendrums1I have my first appointment tomorrow. Can you describe in a little more detail how it made you feel after

How much time after the disassociated feeling gone ?

TMS vs spravato which is more safe ? Which has less side effects?

for me to start with the ketamine
Is this life long or a cure for depression? I have had severe depression since nineteen eighty eight.
Can esketamine lead to tinnitus or exacerbate it ?
I'm on my 6th treatment has it done anything for me each treatment is extreme nausea
What if I’ve done TMS twice and it was 5 days a week for several months for my TMS and the cost was crazy so how was the TMS better?

Do you have or know of anyone that's been on Suboxone for years and tried Spravato ?.what was their experience?
I've been on subutex for years and I'm starting ketamine in two weeks. Should I let you know? The doctor has no problem with it.
I have tried ketamine and it has worked.
I’ve been on suboxone for 7 years. I start spravato treatments tomorrow. I’m low key very nervous, but hopeful.
It's a fucking commercial.
