You are the most gorgeous mechanic I've ever seen every time you have a new video I can't take My eyes off of yours and I don't know why it's just one day something told me to watch TH-cam then I found you my life has been stressful and then watching you seems to take that stress away just saying thank you 😊😊
Sorry to hear about your dad. Very glad you are keeping his dream alive. Got a 70 454 Elco in the garage. Watching your progress. Keep at it. A labor of love.
Thank you so much for the love man. And the support! Wow No way?! how cool! I'm so hoping you are doing work on it and documenting it!😍 I'd watch that's for sure!!! and I agree a LABOR OF LOVE is right lol
Hello Kirstie, I just wanted to say you're a strong woman. I'm so proud that you're keeping your dads dream alive. My dad is in 6 years of remission with his pancreatic cancer. I inherited his 55 Chevy and just took it to the Early Iron Car show in Alomosa Colorado. Keep up the great work. 13:0013:01
So amazing to hear your dad kicked cancers ass!!! Heck yes 🥹 and even more amazing to hear your wife thinks I'm the shit. 😭🥹 this made my day! Thank youuu guys!!!
I replaced outer quarter on my 1960 ranchero on one side and grafted a bottom on the other side. Find solder seams, drill spot welds remove top chrome maybe some spot welds there. Take your time. Buy some c clamps and maybe a couple panel clamps. I had fun its very satisfying. Your doin good your dad would be very proud.
Relax! There is nothing wrong with taking your time on such an important project and don’t you worry about us because as long as you are trying and learning we will continue to watch, the fact that you are so humble and honest is a bonus. Cut that panel leaving at least an inch if not more to attach the new one to and remember that it’s faster to take a little more off if needed than it is to put it back on. But either way not impossible because it’s just metal!! Now go continue to make your dad proud!!

I would say taking your time for perfection is the best choice when you are ready to complete it I am sure you will make your dad so proud of the work you done .
Just cut the whole panel off with a cutting g wheel. Hold the old panel up against it and trace around it. Then cut an inch small than you traced. Don't worry about picking away at the old repairs. CUT IT ALL OFF AT ONE TIME... DONT BE AFRAID. It's only sheet metal and can be fixed if a mistake is made.
I thinks its great that you love your dad so much. It must be super hard to cut out all his work the wall hanger idea is perfect. Think of it this way. Your dad put all those rivets in because chances are he couldnt afford to replace the panel. Your doing what hes always wanted to do to the car. Once its finished he will be smiling each time you and your daughter take the car out for a cruz. I have nothing bid respect for you. Keep going.

Looking at the opening left after the trim came off shows plenty of rust. You probably will need a outer wheel house and a trunk floor extension to have solid stuff to attach the new quarter to. They just spot weld in like most sheet metal parts, you already have that skill. You are doing good. Hope your wire wheel is in good shape, after the old quarter comes off there is a lot of clean up. Good Morning Kristine ur father deemed like feel fixer upper type guy now he's in place above sky passing workmanship to Ur hands. Definitely framed old rear quarter panels on 71 El Camino one's father did Kristine.
That thing is rough. I'd zip disc off the quarter panels below your cut marks for now to see what else is rotten behind there. At least outer wheelhouses, and bed drop down extensions will also be needed. Do final trim later.
Hey Kristie, I just found you 8/25 last night. What caught my eye was your name. It's the same as my first daughter's. Spelled the same, but my daughter's name doesn't have the e at the end. Been up all night watching your videos. Started at your first video and the jumped forward to get to know you. Anyway, at 4:00 minutes into this video, I seen something you might want to look into. When your daughter started to take the lug nuts off, at the top of the tire and rim there's a bend in the rim. If you go back and check a 4 minutes in you will see it. I'm a new subscriber and will be following you from now on. Love everything I have seen so far. Sorry about your dad, I lost mine in 2016. Take care and be safe.
@@kirstieskarzI don't have the same attributes that you do but I'm hoping someone sends you some! When I was building a starter tool kit for techs at the dealership I found that harbor freight had the best deal for 1/2" impact sockets even though I'm not a big fan of harbor freight anymore. On a more serious note I see that your daughter was not holding onto the socket with her non dominant hand like I had to scold young techs from doing like I was. Was always told that if the socket split it would tear your fingers up causing serious injury. Mom must have taught her daughter right😉🙏
If you have an email address (or make one for TH-cam use), people could also send you Gift Cards (Amazon, etc...) that you could use for buying things you need. I just started following you, and I love your commitment and dedication. I work in IT and might be able to send you an older laptop that has been taken out of service (Windows 10). I'll see what I can do and if I can, I will send to your PO Box. Keep up the great work.

There’s a guy that I follow his channel sleeper dude him and his family work on cars. He’s got a young boy did anything that needs welding he wants to do it, they wish that people did not know where they lived. He’s had people show up at his house unwanted he’s even come up with a third channel sleeperdude armed it with him and his son, shooting guns when you become real popular like he has with his channel you will have people coming unwanted to your home and I know you don’t want that because there is a lot of bad people out in the world and I hadn’t got to tell you anymore than I had about thatstrong suggestion videos you got up where you talk about the fires around me. Someone can find out exactly where you live. Keep up the good work.

It was bent indeed! That's why we took em off and put some new ones on 😍 thank u so much for the support!
Gerri I knew a Gerri once she was my wife the love of my life hope your Gerri is just as sweet
Chrome sockets with an impact gun, living on the edge with me😉 Scooby Do
😂 heck yeah working with WHAT we got! Shit if anyone wants to send me some impact sockets I got a PO BOX😅😍
Mom must have taught her daughter right😉🙏
My dad passed away 2yrs ago I know how you feel
If you have an email address (or make one for TH-cam use), people could also send you Gift Cards (Amazon, etc...) that you could use for buying things you need.
I just started following you, and I love your commitment and dedication. I work in IT and might be able to send you an older laptop that has been taken out of service (Windows 10). I'll see what I can do and if I can, I will send to your PO Box.
Keep up the great work.
HELLO GOOD JOBA GOD BLESS BEAUTIFUL ❤
I like all of your movie I'm from american fork utah I'm 76 years old I'm been rebuild my 71 gmc truck

Watch the hand placement while doing those spot welds I caught a 3/8 spot weld cutter to the palm when I was 17
🥺😳 new fear unlocked!
Want to see Chevy videos are those your dad's dogtags
Seen it all
What do you mean
I have my grandad's 64 El Camino needs work
Ya know I was thinking the same thing, keep the quarter panel and anything else your dad worked on. Hang it on the wall somewhere
Atleast you can get quarters for your project. They don’t sell any for mine so I was stuck with cutting and welding patches in
😭 ouch!

Safety goggles, girl, especially when drilling above your head . Don't want to get a piece of metal in those pretty green eyes ❤
Hazel 😊💚💙💛🤎 but absolutely you are right!!
@@kirstieskarz Right, you don't want a scratched cornea like I've had to live with since I was about 10. Most of the time, it's easily forgotten about but reading a printed page is when it's hard to ignore!
Your ambition is so good, you need a great metal expert could save a lot of time in your cars/truck. A ton of vids out there for what your doing. Bad Chad & DD speed shop has some good vids.
♥
The faster you turn the drill the easier the rivets will come out,,great job just keep moving,,dont have to strip the new panel just a light sanding!
I tried going fast and it got wild 😂 decided slow and steady might lower my chances of injury 😂🫣 what would you recommend doing if I'm trying to match my dads all metal idea. Just a light sanding won't quite get me down to metal to match his grind marks 🫤
wish I could help you work on that car
I am new subscriber and I can tell you’re haven’t been doing this very long, strong suggestion by some of the videos I’ve seen you might not want to put where you live out online.
Safety glasses?
😍 beautiful woman
where is your boy friend at
Needs a team work
PLEASE put on your SAFTEY GLASSES and gloves
if I may suggest something and it is not meant as a horrible comment! the constant background music ruins your excellent videos, the sound of you working and using tool is far better. i am a new subscriber,
Noted!! I'll work on it! I just felt like silence is boring 😴 but it makes sense!
Just a lil shout out to ya, keep on truckin' & that's how you learn!!! Gotta give ya credit for trying & givin' it hell!!! Also I wonder if you realize how pretty you are, especially without the makeup!! ✌✊🤙🤙 Keep up the good work & make your dad proud!!! Luv the tat's!! & keep teachin your daughter - she'll give the guys a run for their money, lmao...
Who's the best advice I can give you you need to get on TH-cam and check out bad Chad I have learned a lot from watching him he will give you the answers if you give him the time
The new panel doesn't need to be stripped!!!!!!!!! Who are you listening TO??????????????????? IM A BODYMAN N PAINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST CUT THE PANEL, WHATS UNDER IT IS MORE IMPORTANT..........
I second this!!!!
What should I do if I'm planning on making the whole car match my dads bare metal grind marks? If I'm trying to get the new panel bare? How would you do that?
@@kirstieskarz it should strip off easily with whatever tool he used to grind it. I forgot you were going with the bare metal look.
Are you going bare metal look?? I wouldn't with this much work!! But if you do it's your downfall... just telling facts...
This bare metal shit ,is SHIT!!!! THE BEST SHOPS AROUND WOULD TELL YOU!!!! BESIDES THAT'S THINKING IS GONE... Enjoy your ride girl need help ask??
Girl I'm going to go crazy you listening to people that don't know what there talking about.....
Hey stop sanding quarters thier too far gone, just replace the panels, forget anything black too much damage ,black shows everything, just bare metal with clearcoat I have a 66 f100 same thing tons of little dings I just grinder it down and cleared it
You never paint strip new panels!!!! You scuff with 320 and prime .I have body and paint for over 50years.
What should I do if I'm planning on making the whole car match my dads bare metal grind marks? If I'm trying to get the new panel bare? How would you do that?
@@kirstieskarz Right, NORMALLY, there's no need to strip off the E-coating on new panels. This case is the exception b/c of the end result you desire.
220or320 grid the black off,it will come off ezpezz.
Please listen don't put everything into what people tell you!! My father died in 2005 know what your sayn, put more time into books, videos!! Dont listen to others just sayn things cause your cute an they think there impressive!! Your not moving forward listening to others that dont know!! ADVICE????
There you go girl!! From someone your age!! Thanks for hearing me..
Thanks!
