Ganta my ipad 9 gen display got internal damage and screen never got on without any crack on screen just after sliding through bed along with bedsheet ..and apple don't repair ipad they will replace it with new at almost 80% cost .and give 3 months warranty. Even after having cover and tempered glass

(Although you are not asking me). For normal tablets,you can get samsung at almost every price point with good screen and s pen support (mostly).
Same for apple ipad. Apple ipad will last longer.
But since you only need to juggle pdfs then samsung might be better,but ipad (being premium) can do better.
Up to you.
