Front Hub Final Drive Assembly on a Yanmar 2610-D 4WD Tractor

Today I will be assembling the front final drive assemblies for our Yanmar 2610-D 4WD tractor. It is a two part process since I will assemble the final drive hub to the case without the seal first to check backlash. Once backlash is properly set, I will disassemble it and put the seals in and do a final reassembly.
The reason for not putting the seal in first is to not ruin it if backlash is not within spec once assembled. If backlash is out of spec, one would have to disassemble and add or remove shims and do another check. We are getting her ready to send on to her next life as she was not heady duty enough for what we were asking her to do at the future site for Next Life Garage.

Thanks for the informative video. I have a 3810-D that at the very least needs final drive seals. I'm considering getting bearings as well while I'm at it. Where do you purchase parts and where did you find the manual?

I have a 3810d and somehow water got in the front axle and rusted the bearings, I'm getting ready to start ordering parts, not looking forward to this project

Hey great video, it looks pretty similar to my 336d that I'm trying to get the courage to rebuild both sides but we drove it till the wheel locked up and pulled the vertical shaft out so we could finish the job it was it. Im missing the shims after it's been apart for 5 + years now. Think there possible to get?

Why not slow the assembly down to see what was going on it's. Impossible to see the process as fast as the video is run for someone not computer literate or new phones literate
