    Accept he's gone out of your life, live within your means and explain to your kids that things have changed. I raised my four kids alone after my husband left. They were under 10 years. I cried alot until I let go. I interacted with people and my mindset changed. .change starts with you. Today am a proud mother of beautiful youths and today one is a pilot

    just my 2 cents. you can relocate to a place where its normal to have mixed race kids. like mombasa or malindi there are so many such kids some somali, arabs, european, barawas, indians so you wont stand out and look unique. and your kids and yourself you will have a normal life. i personally know several single ladies ambao they are just hustlers wamepata watoto na people from europe, america etc na wanaishi maisha ya kawaida tu and their kids go to public school in malindi and mombasa but in other parts of kenya especially if you're not well of financially you might look out of place with mixed race kids coz in other towns it's not an ordinary thing. watoto hua wanaadapt any lifestyle you give them

      Its sad the mentality some of these parents who have mixed race kids have here in kenya.i don't see anything wrong with a public school in here,after all there are other kids going to the same school.This kind of thinkng is even dangerous to the upbringing of those kids ,other women are hustling and raising doctors,pilots,engineers and even Presidents alone.

    She needs to accept her situation, and hustle for her kids. There are a lot of single moms who are hustling for their kids. A lot of mixed kids being brought up in Kenya, and African in general and they attend local schools like other kids. Saying that her Kids should attend private school because they are mixed sounds to me like she has a complex, and feels her kids are more special than other kids.

      As a person with mixed children myself I would never ever consider sending my children to a public school in Kenya, the constant racism from other children, taunting and calling them "mzungu" every two minutes would negatively affect their mental health.

    There is a law that was passed in Europe about parent having children with European nationality, that give you rights to apply for European residents permit. Ruth research on that and you can be able to come back to Europe and probably with your story go to a different country and start a new life with you kids. After your children get the passport approach different European embassy there in Kenya and try to find help.

    I have a problem with you saying that children have to go to a Private school because of their colour. Why don't you teach them to accept that they are "black" children and are accepted anywhere in Kenya. Believe you me, in the West, your children are black. But let us start with you allowing them to be Kenyan children. You are black. You live with them. Colours does not make you a black person. We come in all colours. Black, Brown, Dark Brown light Brown. God created a unique being labelled by others Black. Allow them to mix with their own. They are not used to a Western lifestyle. They were born in Kenya. Visited their abusive father briefly and now live in Kenya. Allow them to embrace their culture. Let them get a Spanish passport since its their birthright and maybe they can go there for further studies when they are adults and their father can't harm them. Lakini wacha nikwambie Spain is a Western country but they have not got much there. Without tourists they are just peasant farmers. They come to the U.K to search for work. You seem to have a job. Take your kids to a school because it performs well not because that's their right because of their colour.

    "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be CONTENT: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. EVERWHERE and in ALL things I have learned BOTH to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:11-13.

    It's sad how fellow women have no empathy for Ruth. Why push the idea of her going back to a country that she experienced so much trauma unless her inner guts gives her an ok. She's asking for help from those willing to help her and kids continue living in Kenya. Only Ruth knows how the trauma has internally affected her and her beautiful kids. Please be sensitive as you make comments (to the point of telling her to take the kids back to their father if she can't take care of them) why? why? If you can't help don't make them feel like people don't like them especially now.

      It is true she’s in need, but hapo ati kids need to attend private schools because of their colour is nonsense. Kids will always understand their situation if she lives a realistic life. Awachane na Spain for now, atie bidii alee watoi kama single mother. She needs to ACCEPT that life happens and mtoi ni vile utamlea. Stop paying money that she doesn’t have to private schooling yet hakuna food kwa nyumba. Priorities??? She needs to focus on her health so she can be there for her kids always. 🙏🏾

    Sorry, but forget this ‘husband’. The man does not love you nor his children. Focus on raising your kids with whatever little you have. They will understand. No need to send kids to Spain and go suffer there. You will still struggle there without Spanish language. You almost lost your life there.. Abroad is not all that. Your kids need you. Don’t take them back to the mzungu that doesn’t even care about them.

    Until you have a coloured child nobody can understand how Kenyans can be discriminating. As a mother who has mixed children and attended private schools in Kenya, teachers, other children and the community in general called them wazungu. Sometimes when you visit markets you find very vile people who will call the mother all sorts of names. How does this affect these children mentally, they lose their identity since their environment does not accept them as their own.
    As a mother you have to be very strong to educate your children socially, build their mental capacity to understand their environment and provide them with formal education. Spain is not a first world country most citizens are very poor, so please dont hold your breath build your life in Kenya, love, nurture, build your children confidence and all will be well.
    First forward when my coloured children migrated to a western country, they had no problems fitting in even though different they knew who they are and were content with it. We had a lot of discussions in our house supported them in all their needs. Now all mature, we talk and reflect. After visiting Kenya three years ago, they found it very difficult to cope with the home culture.

    • @janehughes6927
      @janehughes6927 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dollydolly1317 One of the biggest problem is that we focus on what other people think of us. If only we dont put too much effort thinking about our colour, live and enjoy our lives then this issue of being black should not bother us. With my work, we are very few blacks who undertake the work I do. However, I have a very good relationship with my colleagues and not even once I felt that because I am black I am treated differently. Having said that, I also call it out if at all anybody would dare say something which I regard as unfair.
      I know my rights and a strong woman who knows what she wants in life. I educated my children of the same and I must say they are fine. Mature now and they dont have one black friend they see themselves as people, we might be different and I tell them thats ok but we are all human beings. Thats why I really struggle with women who bleach their colour to be white yet we have such a beautiful skin, why cant we love and accept ourselves the way we are.
      I remember when I first met my mother in law years back, I think she did not know how to handle me, the reason was that she had never met a black person before. I never blamed her we had chats of different things and she was my best friend ever till she died. Its the same thing with us if a muzungu went to remote areas of Kenya, people are curious to know about them and shout muzungu at them.
