All talking about Joao Pedro but not one person noticing Arteta (playing unofficial ball boy) outside his technical YET AGAIN by 10 yards at that exact same moment
Sorry AGT is wrong here Estupinan picks up the ball and runs with it in the 85th minute nothing You cannot apply the rules differently in the same game for two teams and for a Liverpool fan to say this i hope when it comes to their team getting a bad call he must say nothing Cause you cannot delay an illegal kick off that is the letter of the law
According to the letter of the law, the second yellow was "correct". BUT referees are there to ensure FAIR play. That is the whole point of being a referee. They should be neutral and enforce the rules of the game so that neither team can cheat. Every referee has a different style of enforcing the rules. Sometimes the same referee even has a different style depending on the game. But IN the game he MUST be consistent, otherwise it is unfair to one team, and as I said before, the whole point of a referee is to make sure that the game is fair. If he is inconsistent he is not doing his job properly. He is also starting to be the cause of unfairness in the game. In this game, the referee did NOT give a yellow card when the Brighton player kicked the ball away in the first half. Fair play. But as soon as he gave Rice a second yellow card (for a much lesser offence than kicking the ball miles away), the referee was making an unfair decision, even if it was the correct one according to the "letter of the law". This argument does not even take into account the fact that it resulted in a red card. So in this case, not only was it the wrong decision, it was outrageously stupid and unworthy of a referee in the PL. And anyone who says "but it was correct by the letter of the law, therefore it was correct" is equally stupid. Having said that, it was also stupid of Rice to knock the ball away. He shouldn't have done it.
Wait is he talking about when the ball hit Lewis dunks arm there was nothing he could’ve done about that var looked at it and cleared it straight away. I hope he’s talking about another moment coz if not that “handball” call is mental 😂
But when a Chelsea header that's off target hits Saliba's arm from much closer range, it's a penalty? Dunk's arm is away from his body. Defenders aren't allowed to use their arms to make themselves a bigger blocking target.
@@toddmacadam3888 ok I can’t remember that Chelsea example but it doesn’t have any relevancy here, and also his arm wasn’t raised it was by his side it wasn’t right be his side but it hit right at him you can’t seriously think he could’ve done anything there.
Instead of blaming the ref blame Havertz for missing a one vs one chance, blame Saka for dropping another stinker, Odeegard to be on Halloween ghost mode, Trossard disappeared, Rice playing the big boy than crying like a twat when he got sent off, blame it on Edu cuz he left us short again. But hey is easy to blame the ref
i’ll say this , if ur expecting a team w 10 men that’s just had to defend for an entire half to go all out attack and risk losing then ur as dumb as the ppl defending the ref, ur trying way too hard to do a lee gunner impression its sad
The funny thing is that no one is talking about Veltman kicking Rice intentionally. If another ref had booked Veltman for that, I guarantee u nobody will complain.
Question… If we’d have put our chances away and won the game then would this even be such a big debate? We only have ourselves to blame for not winning the game. It’s literally that simple.
Touching the ball there was a stupid decision from rice. Also we were leading by 1 goal when we went down to 10. We could not see out Brighton without conceding (even with 10 men) at home, which is a concern. Also we could not finish our chances. So Rice should take the responsibility for that card and the whole team should take the responsibility for those 2 lost points. and then move on to train and prepare for remaining 112 points. Arguing and getting frustrated will not do any good to anyone. Lastly Chris Kavanagh should get some punishment for bad referring.
Referee should have just went over & said “pack it in lads. I see what your both tryna do” Poor reffing. & AGT just on a wind up. He would have none stop cried if it was Liverpool.
The referee ignored all that happened in that sequence and cherrypicked Rice's infraction. Arsenal was targetted. Before Rice touched the ball, didn't the Referee see that the ball was thrown onto Rice's foot as he was walking downfrield wih his back turned - away from the point of the foul? Didnt the referee see that the ball was rolling after when Veltman went to kick it? Didn't the referee see Veltman kick Declan Rice? Of all the referee chose to claim to see (because he could not possibly see Declan tap the ball from his vantage point, and most people didn't see it until the replay was was in slow motion from the sideline viewpoint) Rice tapping a ball the was already rolling anyway.
Why can people not understand that he kicked the ball away therefore delaying the option of play. Whether the free kick was ready or not to be taken, rice moved the ball away from veltman delaying the play! It’s black and white.
That’s not true… Veltman put his hand on the ball then kicked the ball before Rice touched it. Also, the ball was moving before Rice touched it, so (by the letter of the law) Veltman couldn’t take the free kick anyway.
The refs literally gave Brighton the game, Their leftback literally pulled Saka´s shirt and he didn´t do anything, Partey does it and Joao Pedro just falls over because he knows he can´t reach the ball and Partey gets booked. This same leftback elbows Saka in the first half again and on my life he saw it but just decided not to do anything about.
It was harsh but Rice is the only person to blame, absolutely stupid of him to kick the ball away when he’s already on a yellow knowing how bad the refs are
Someone remind this Liverpool fan that the letter of the law says that a free kick has to be taken from where the foul was committed.Veltman moved the ball forward a couple of yards before trying to take the free kick which nullifies anything that happened after that..The letter of the law should have meant that the free kick should have been retaken from the correct spot on the field.
Cecil, Rory Jennings and me have something in common for the 1st time: we all think AGT is not right in the head. 100%. Go get yourself checked m8, you have 1 or 2 screws loose.
Arsenal fan here - wasn't a red card, no consistency from the referee throughout the game HOWEVER Rice was an idiot. First yellow was stupid, lunging in for a tackle he was never gonna win the ball for. And once he's on a yellow he shouldn't be giving the ref any excuse to give a second
Everybody's talking about the letter of the law put that aside. If it was a top official that was referee in the game we wouldn't be having this debate now.
The bit that everyone seems to miss that you can see when you look closer is that when Veltman initially plays the ball into Rice (before the violent kick) the ball is stationary when he plays it, and he plays it with his feet. By the letter of the law this should have counted as the quick free kick, and therefore Rice’s touch ‘delaying play’ should have actually been a legitimate touch of a ball in play. The whole delaying play bs argument should be completely void, and the real red card being for Veltman for violent conduct. This decision is so bad for so many different reasons it’s insane.
How this hasn't been mentioned more is truly baffling. Essentially he's taken the freekick and then intentionally given Rice a hard kick which last I heard is a straight red for aggressive behaviour. But no, let's send off the guy who touched a ball that was technically in play. :/
@@marzipanmonkey It’s insane. Combine that with the unissued yellows for half the Brighton team asking for the booking and the fact he actually sent him off for ‘delaying the restart’ and I think this is possibly one of the worst decisions in recent prem history. So many different layers of incompetence😂😂 Up there w Liverpool offside vs Spurs and no lines drawn vs Brentford for sure. Literally a farcical decision and now we are going to Spurs away without Rice smh
Also another argument is that the ball was stationary straight after the foul for the free kick and the player kicks the ball at the position of the initial foul was kicked that was the free kick taken right there so it was open play this all happened in And again its some what common for a team that trailing to place the ball in place for the opponents fast if the opponent ran up to that stationary ball missed it is that a booking NO its completely shocking
People that dont think a first yellow and a second yellow should be treated differently piss me off. A second yellow is a massice decision, u are taking someone out the game and the next game, it used to be for endangering players, now its for stupid stuff like kicking a ball away 1m, that doesnt even get given 99% of the time. Game is going and its sad to watch
Then it’s down to VAR to do its job if needed. The fact that rice denied that opportunity by kicking the ball away and was rightly sent off. Move on from this fragile mentality
The irony of Cecil of all people saying there’s something wrong in your had if you think it was a second yellow card 😂 these bottlers tears are glorious and it’s only game week 3 Get it right Cecil, it wasn’t a red card. It was a second yellow card that resulted in a red card. 2 needless yellow cards by your 100+ million boy.
Because the ball is rolling meaning he couldn't have kicked it, so if Rice should receive a yellow the other who intentionally kicked him should be receiving a yellow card as well, or no one receives anything.
So I assume we won't hear a peep out of AGT all season long if anything harsh goes against Liverpool but is still within the rules. After all "The letter of the law!" must be respected at all times - and not just when it's your rivals. 😉
2 Yellos =/= a fucking straight red, yes it was harsh that's fair, but you can't say Rice wasn't stupid since that is also fair. Both are fair arguments. It's like saying accidentally touching with your hands when the ball in the box when it is going out, isn't a pen then is it lads?
Rice wouldn't get booted if he didn't kick the ball away, Rice intentionally kicked the ball away as Brighton player was about to kick it to play act, dive & get the Brighton player carded. Stop acting like we're stupid, we all had team mates or oppositions using these wind ups on the pitch. Obvious yellow for Rice.
Ball was rolling and the free kick couldn't have been taken anyway so rice literally tapping the ball didn't do much, anytime a ball is touched after a foul is given a yellow should be given in that case, even if it's a tiny little tap 2cm to the right but no it isn't, Pedro literally launches the ball 60 yards and gets nothing, our problem is the consistency in this league.
@@coygooners11rapz29 It's not about the ball rolling. Brighton player would have gotten a yellow card for continuing the altercation after the whistle was blown but Rice became extra, kicked the ball & got kicked, he then dived. It was obvious Rice was trying to wind up the other player & get him carded. Why are you guys like this?
Whether Rice kicked it away or not, that was violent conduct from the Brighton player? If the Brighton player head butted rice or whatever then Rice wouldn’t be penalized and it would be a red for the Brighton player? Kicking him how he did is still violent conduct and should have been a red? Why was it ignored 😭
There are still id!ot rivals still trying to justify it by saying he wanted to kick the ball,I get rivalry and all but this just borderline hatred and petulance from these 🤡🤡

All talking about Joao Pedro but not one person noticing Arteta (playing unofficial ball boy) outside his technical YET AGAIN by 10 yards at that exact same moment
Who fucking cares. Imagine you getting angry because a manager is outside his technical area that's totally irrelevant.
Ange and pep are out of their boxes constantly
Sorry AGT is wrong here Estupinan picks up the ball and runs with it in the 85th minute nothing
You cannot apply the rules differently in the same game for two teams and for a Liverpool fan to say this i hope when it comes to their team getting a bad call he must say nothing
Cause you cannot delay an illegal kick off that is the letter of the law
Big up Mah for the unbiased take still
So why did the ref choose to apply the letter of the law there and not in the situation before? THAT'S THE ISSUE
Did rice even foul veltman I. The first place. it wasn't even a free kick he dived
So that gives rice the right to kick the ball away to deny the quick free kick?
But hey is easy to blame the ref
u genuinely look like a nitty
i’ll say this , if ur expecting a team w 10 men that’s just had to defend for an entire half to go all out attack and risk losing then ur as dumb as the ppl defending the ref, ur trying way too hard to do a lee gunner impression its sad
As a Liverpool fan, AGT is so annoying. The ref lacked consistency, but also Rice should've kicked it
When Liverpool get robbed by an official this season (and they will) and AGT is crying about it I’m gonna relish his tears
The funny thing is that no one is talking about Veltman kicking Rice intentionally. If another ref had booked Veltman for that, I guarantee u nobody will complain.
It's just crazy to think you can intentionally kick an opponent in that way with VAR available and on hand yet it doesn't get punished accordingly.
@@marzipanmonkey So annoying and strange
And he went pass by the fact that "the ball is rolling, and the free kick taker cant see any of his teamate to pass to" 🙄
Shut up AGT that’s very bias
Typical AGT. If this happened to Liverpool he’d be screaming corruption
Question…
If we’d have put our chances away and won the game then would this even be such a big debate?
Of all the referee chose to claim to see (because he could not possibly see Declan tap the ball from his vantage point, and most people didn't see it until the replay was was in slow motion from the sideline viewpoint) Rice tapping a ball the was already rolling anyway.
i also remember odegaard playing basketball in the box with no punishments and aresnal fans kept quiet
The ref did what Matisse and cess says 10 player's would be booked every game 4 reds in-between that
The refs literally gave Brighton the game, Their leftback literally pulled Saka´s shirt and he didn´t do anything, Partey does it and Joao Pedro just falls over because he knows he can´t reach the ball and Partey gets booked.
5:56 but the players should be encouraged to interfere with play, just because you want to be seen as neutral.
This incident happen 10 times this weekend and no other cards were given, no letter of the law applied
The annoying thing is Rice backed him and was walking away the Brighton player threw the ball to him from where the infringement was committed.
Agree it’s a very soft second yellow but Rice kicking the ball away gave the ref a reason to book him again.
Everybody's talking about the letter of the law put that aside. If it was a top official that was referee in the game we wouldn't be having this debate now.
The most straightforward open and closed case of a red card I've ever seen. Stop crying
AGT getting onto Robbie last week about ruining football and then goes on about saying this, what a mug, embarrassing
Also… you can’t be getting that stressed over a game of football.
It’s got way out of hand
Also another argument is that the ball was stationary straight after the foul for the free kick and the player kicks the ball at the position of the initial foul was kicked that was the free kick taken right there so it was open play this all happened in
And again its some what common for a team that trailing to place the ball in place for the opponents fast if the opponent ran up to that stationary ball missed it is that a booking NO its completely shocking
Thank you mah! Respect to you for keeping bias aside.
It’s funny when they say, saka should’ve gone down because when he did go down against neuer last year, people said why is he going down for
I guess Robbie will be calling Rice an idiot since he called Schar one couple of weeks ago...since he should know better 🤔
Last season in Man city game Convacic tackle on Odegard, PGMOL said that Michael Oliver never wanted to Negatively impact the game.
Clinging onto the past, playing victims what about odegaard handball vs liverpool? Get better
The ball was even rolling when Brighton player attempted to take the free kick. So that in itself should have not been a valid quick start.
Then it’s down to VAR to do its job if needed. The fact that rice denied that opportunity by kicking the ball away and was rightly sent off. Move on from this fragile mentality
The irony of Cecil of all people saying there’s something wrong in your had if you think it was a second yellow card 😂 these bottlers tears are glorious and it’s only game week 3
Get it right Cecil, it wasn’t a red card.
I have never seen this guy this angry before..and i have watched so many of his videos.
AGT as letter of the law Its not a free kick because the ball is still rolling
So I assume we won't hear a peep out of AGT all season long if anything harsh goes against Liverpool but is still within the rules. After all "The letter of the law!" must be respected at all times - and not just when it's your rivals. 😉
Good man Cecil for backing it
Even a blind Tottenham fan would've not given a red
He's right. It wasn't a red only because the ball wasn't still during the free kick. Or is that rule not a thing anymore?
But that’s for VAR to rule out if a goal occurs isn’t it. Rice denied that advantage by kicking the ball away and wasting time, correct decision
AGT snitches on people for jaywalking
lol these Arsenal fans clapped Arteta when he told Liverpool to get on with it when Jota got second yellow v spurs and when Ode handball v Liverpool
Hold up! Rice was walking away and Veltman rolled the ball on Rice's foot. Wtf.
He didnt kick the ball .The ball rolled towards his leg
If it is a rule we need consistency...is a big disgrace for referee 😢😢
Rice wouldn't get booted if he didn't kick the ball away, Rice intentionally kicked the ball away as Brighton player was about to kick it to play act, dive & get the Brighton player carded. Stop acting like we're stupid, we all had team mates or oppositions using these wind ups on the pitch. Obvious yellow for Rice.
rice booted the ball?
@@coygooners11rapz29ball rolling doesnt change the fact you cant waste time after the ref blows the whistle
@@user-eq1jv3oo5v rolling and not in the correct place, ball rolled into Rices path
Ref should have had common sense.....but Rice was stupid for what he did as well knowing that he was already on a stupid yellow..totally unnecessary
Silly from Rice I agree🤞 already on yellow don't give the referee opportunity 🤔
Big up Matisse for being reasonable. AGT is a true sausage
That Flex priest image is killing me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Idk if it was a red or not suppose that can be argued till end of time but Rice should of just got on with the game instead of messing about tbf
Pisses me off that he got a free hit.. 😡 😡
There are still id!ot rivals still trying to justify it by saying he wanted to kick the ball,I get rivalry and all but this just borderline hatred and petulance from these 🤡🤡
Lol no idea how no one talks about that, even the reporters cant even ask that question.
He was going to kick the ball and Rice put his leg in the way. Let's not get crazy.
@@friendlybane the ball was rolling, 3m at least away from the location the “foul” occurred.
Card people for picking up the ball after a foul to slow down play. Standing in front of the ball on a free kick to stop a quick take. But that doesn’t happen
Where can I get the shirt Cecil is wearing?
Agt is why Liverpool fans are hated, they are like that
From international supporters stand point. It's all talk where are banners saying we want consistent refereeing where empty stadiums, why are you guys sitting there and just accepting it. Without the fans there is no Football period
