So the consumer ends up paying the suppliers profit and also the storage company profits both of which are very high and interest rate sensitive.This will increase the cost to the consumer to very high levels of cost.

Need not be so. The energy will come from renewable sources which will be taken by consumers as well as to charge batteries. Currently the cost of solar power is least.
