Could be a nice addition to your artistic arsenal but definitely not the real deal. They are a lot of fun to shoot with, though... 😎👊🏻💥 Thanks for watching!
Honestly, this filter is more geared toward still photographer who wanted to replicate a cinematic/anamorphic lens fx in a controlled environment or light conditions also it will open up a door for still photographer to be a little bit artistic without investing on a real anamorphic lens. For a videographer, this lens will appear weird and I’m pretty sure that any decent videographer who knows what is anamorphic lens can easily tell that it is not a real anamorphic lens. I’m a still photographer and bought this filter for my creative type of photography.
I did a review on the FF SIRUI, but I used this type of filter on a sigma 18-35 to shoot the b-roll of the lens and it looked great. As a heads up they don't work with tube lights.
thanks for beeing honest about the filter and those additional light flares which look totally out of place 😀 I guess I will try the 50mm Sirui anamorphic lens. they are on sale summer now.
Looks cool but a little bit too sharp(artificial ) for my taste. I’m not a pro but I think real anamorphic flares have a softer boundary… Keep up good job 👍

Agreed 💯
There are filters for anamorphs that reduce flares?

another tip, get fishing line, paint it blue, or red or yellow ect, and get different colour flares.

Glad to see low pressure sodium lamps still haven't disappeared in Belgium yet.

That's gonna look a lot better 😉
Changed my mind and go with the 35mm 1.8 - also on sale! 599,- euros incl VAT, which is basically the kickstarter price ^^
I used blue streak filters on a couple tv shows I worked on. So pros do use them
Kunde die bij Kamera-express krijge? Welken Dreamland was da?
the quality of your videos is always amazing. Could we get a video/export settings video?
Consider it done! Will drop it tomorrow 💥
I took one to an EDM concert and got amazing results.
So can I use those filters on a music video or a shortfilm?
Of course, you can use them for whatever you want! 💯🔥
Cheers Joris - super-helpful as always 🙏🏻

Awesome @Joris Hermans 👍, So just wanted to ask when's the next community challenge 😅
I guess once we get back from our trip we could do another challenge 🤔😎
what do i have to buy for real anamorphic flare?
tried it so many times to eddit them into my photos with photoshop but its so hart xD
I get your frustration! 😉 The only way to get a real anamorphic flare is using a real anamorphic lens.
excellent video 👍thanks so much for samples, nighttime city streets/cars 3:12 look horrible 😣too much streak effect
Save yourself some money and go buy a thin fishing line. It looks the same without the strange and weird flares.
Kase Blue Streak gives a more realistic look
Mhh, I guess I rather to this part of the anamorfake in post.
super gross
