It typically depends on the depth that I’ll be fishing. If they are out in the 20-30ft range I will go with a 3/4 head and 4/0 hook combo. If they are a little shallower in the 20ft or less range I typically stick with a 1/2 ounce head. If they are real finicky I’ll shorten up the plastic to a 3”. Good luck and tight lines !
@@radsaves No, I down size pretty substantially in that clear water. Never heavier than 14 but mostly throw it on 12. Just check your line and knot very frequently 👍
swing heads are amazing , specially for smallmouth
For sure! It’s probably my favorite technique in the winter when the smallies get tight to the bottom.
