I am so glad to see you running so well after all the challenges you've been through, Martin! Love how you kept pushing yourself, even catching others mid-race just to ask why they’re out here too, hehe. Congrats on the finish, medal well earned, Martin!

Thanks so much Mihai, it’s taken what seems like an age to get here, thanks so much for your support along the way. I’m happy with the progress this year, now I need to figure out some races for 2025 😀

Cracking run Martin! Huge kudos mate! Shout out to John, Hamish and Greg. Their answers were spot on. Completely sums up my feelings about why we run these races. 👍 Once again well done Martin! 👏🏅😎🤘

Thanks Ben, everyone out there did a great job. Couldn’t believe how good the weather was, especially for November up here! Also a great way to finish the year with a long run event 😀

Hey Martin. I really enjoyed this video. I like that you went into your thought process on how you’re going to attack the distance. What a beautiful day it was - congratulations again🥳 Wayne

Thanks Wayne, there’s definitely something in the don’t break yourself during an event, incorporating some walks certainly helped during and post race, for once I’ve not been dreading going up and down the stairs 🤣

Huge congratulations, Martin. Beautiful course and fantastic time for a trail 50K with hills! Very creative to incorporate the "why do you run" and motivate yourself to keep running. Well done!

Thanks Reto, it’s ended up being a positive year for running, great to get another 50k in the bag and the weather gods have been in a good mood for every race this year ☀️😀

Thanks Jay, it’s a nice remote route, virtually no houses/cars/people for most of it, well apart from a bunch of runners 😀

I expected there to be hills on any race around your neck of the woods for some reason. I'm still impressed with your speedy finish time. Great running 💪🏃‍♂️

Cheers Mark, aye, most directions around here have hills everywhere, but that route heads slowly and gradually down to the coast, nice to have options 🤪

Great job Martin! Definitely think it’s a good one for a first Ultra. What cracking weather you had. Another year could be a totally different story as we all know with the Highland’s weather 😂

Thanks Wendy, it's a cracking wee local route to us, I'm glad I got last week's weather instead of this weeks! 🥶

Great time and not just a 50K--a video and interview 50K. Super fast aid station transitions--ha ha. Lovely looking course, so close to home, and looks pretty friendly for a first timer 50K as well. Nice cool weather, which isn't always the conditions. Congratulations on your journey back to long distance running!

Thanks Brian, It keeps it interesting for me, making a video on race day. Sometimes you want to film, other moments you don't, but it can give an event that different perspective if I have to remember to hit record 🎥 Thanks for watching Brian, hope all is well with you 😀
