I’ve been obsessed with your channel lately. I feel like you offer such amazing tips and insights for artist. I appreciate being here for your journey while you help me with my own. You’re so talented, I’m going to look into ordering an original piece from you. ❤
Also let me just say if I could get more time hearing you talk/ us “hanging out” I’d so take it 🙃😉 I have just fallen in love with your channel lately!
I also was traumatized with varnish 😂💀 but i found my sis gamblin gamvar gloss varnish with their varnish brush and it works well for me. And if you do mess up you could take it off with paint thinner ❤
When I ship my paintings, I allow for the painting to completely dry and then I wrap the painting in thin gift paper, then I place the painting in a plastic sleeve and then box it. I always make sure the painting won't get damaged if the shipping box gets wet. I guess it's never wrong to be OCD. lol. Beautiful work, always protect your creations. Love the color pallet idea, I'm going to start doing that instead of discarding it. TY
Great vid! Just a question, do you ship internationally? I've looked into this and the paperwork involved looks like a logistical headache, plus the customs taxes and duties and so on would be obviously different for each country, so I understand if you only ship locally within your country.
I do ship internationally! Going through Shippo makes it easy because they print out the extra customs form and all I have to do is attach it to the package/give it to UPS. 😀
You have to wait a long time to varnish anyway with oils. There's no reason why your clients can't do the varnish themselves or take it to a professional. (Not Michaels, like a legit framing shop) Nothing beats the way colors come back to life after varnishing, though.
@KaylaCarlileArt I don't work in oils so I'm no expert. I do varnish acrylics. I wonder if you had a water based varnish or do you live in a high humidity climate? That would have made me cry for sure...or have a temper tantrum. It doesn't make it easy when you don't have the time to wait for it to dry...but that is one bug reason I haven't tried oils....I could never have the patience for that.

I may be nuts, but I love the palette stamp.
That's such a cool ideal!

You didn't say how much the price of the box was? Would love to know thanks!
These boxes are amazing. I don’t ship my paintings any other way.

How are the boxes called? They look fab 👍
Luxury artwork shippers from Uline! 😀
I don't varnish either! I don't know if varnish protects the painting better but I don't like how shinny it makes the painting.
Neither do I!! I don’t like the glare. 🫤 Glad I’m not the only one.
Do you not charge the collector for the packaging and shipping costs?
I do! I include those costs in my price and charge for shipping.

What was the bad experience with varnish? @Kayla Carlile
It turned a milky-white overnight! Completely covered the painting. Not sure why 🙁
