I really feel bad for Jiraiya. He lost so many things, watching as they either died or fell into darkness: his teacher, his students, both Minato and Nagato, his best friend, and he never managed to capture the heart of the woman he loved. He felt like a failure, but in his dying moments, at least he was able to take solace in the fact that he raised Naruto, to feel like he wasn’t a total failure. Well, Jiraiya isn’t a failure to any of us! Rest In Peace, Jiraiya! You deserved happiness and to see Naruto become Hokage!

In the End Obito accepted his defeat in the hands of Jiraiya even he was dead. He said he was defeated by him in every way possible.

One sided love is an ugly thing as you try everything to break down the walls of the person you love, yet they can’t seem to reciprocate the love you have for them.
Only thing you can do is be by their side and wish them happiness in every endeavor.
I want to say something wise and uplifiting but is hard to image being in such situation and not hurt. I do although think there is a place where one-sided love can still be a good thing...

I say let go of the idea of love all together. You cannot be hurt by something you don't believe in. Don't allow something that doesn't exist to cause you suffering.

In my humble opinion this is quite pitiful. I believe you deciding to be her friend is... okay I guess but not at the expense of your own happiness. Is the friendship even mutual or do you see yourself as her slave, because that's what I gathered from your comment.

I kinda know what Jiraiya is saying. People like him are the beacon of light that shines every dark corner until someone else can carry it for him. Those who feel love, change. They have a passion. They have a change of heart. Changing is entirely up to you if you are ready for that change itself. Change is unpredictable, a mystery. Change can be for good or worse.
The quote at the start of the video showed Snape’s eternal love for Lily.

i was bullied for 7 years, all of my life was nothing but anxiety and rejection. I was going nowhere in life, no progress, no achievement. Until i met someone. She's a very very nice and sweet girl, she is the one of the few people that actually talks to me and accept me as i was. By knowing her it gave me a hope, a hope for better life and progression in life. I'm started to go to the gym, starting a small barbershop business, and learn public speaking as well. But i just discover that the girl that i know has a severe depression caused by her parents. I wasn't able to save her like she did to me. Knowing that, makes me pledge deep in my heart that i will protect her and support her no matter the cost. Yes, i loved her. Until someday, she said to me that she just love someone in her classroom. The person that she loves was very dilligent, smart, talented. She seems happy about it, and after she's knowing that guy she never shows any symptoms of depression anymore. And finally the day has come, she's finally having a relationship with that person. I was so sad at the time, knowing my angel has found her cure. But after watching this video, i realize that loving someone doesn't mean to have them, but to protect them instead. Thanks masashi who made such beautiful anime and characters

Jiraiya has so many layers (as we see here)…he was much more than just Pervy Sage. He brought a necessary humor and lightheartedness to the series and it wasn’t the same after his death. Best character on the show. We ❤️ You, Pervy Sage!!

He’s not a simp but rather a really great friend. That aside I kinda wished in Tsunade’s infinite she dreamt of a future with her and Jiraiya both watching Naruto grow up to be Hokage, as a sign that maybe she found a greater happiness with her friend and his protege rather than with Dan and her brother. But then again if she had to have a future with the departed her brother and lover are probably the better options.
That makes me think of something I never really understood: People say they love someone, they swear it and even get angry, if you doubt it. So it seems they really mean it, right? But when the person they "love" doesn't love or even like them back, then suddenly this "eternal undying love" vanishes in an instant. Sometimes it even turns to (deep) hatred. What gives?
If you truly love somebody, you want that person to be as happy as possible, right? That means, if that person isn't happy or the happiest with you, why would'nt you let them go and let them be with whomever they are truly the happiest? You want the best for them and if that doesn't involve you, than so be it, anything else is just super selfish.
Doesn't mean you have to stop loving them or that you yourself have to be unhappy.

As you let another go, let the feelings of lost go too, keep the memories and what you've learn. Preserve the purest form of it. Like any good thing we learn becomes the foundation of who you are and become, even if you find another and love another maybe never as deep as that one! Don't lament what is beyond your hands rejoice what you've got the chance to see and learn... Don't let what makes you, you to die. Purify it and keep as a pillar to your own journey.

Love is a very tossed around word. What youre thinking of is true love, something that not many people have every had or ever will have.
When he begins to laugh and says he does not care about such" LITTLE THINGS". That's what astonishes me every time and shows me the greatness of his character. I think he always knew but he never pushed it because he knew she could never open her hart to anyone because they all end up dying that’s why he doesn’t look back at Tsunade when he leaves the village for the last time. He knows that if he looks back he won’t be able to go and do what he needs to because he wants to be with the love of his life.
