Thank you for this video!! This is my life right now.
I had Covid in 2021 and was in ICU and again in 2023, and my health has declined from there.
Literally, everything that was spoken within this video is happening to me.
I started with headaches, flashing lights, intense headaches, and body aches. Had an MRI, and I have white lesions in my brian. Neuro thought it was MS. After a year, I don't have MS, but no one can help. I've been pushed off to different doctors/ specialists.
Symptoms: muscle spasms, blurr vision, confusion, body tangles, extreme exhaustion, heat issues, and food would trigger body aches.

Dr Hyman can't do the Fasting because of his personal health issues he states, but basically eat dinner early, don't snack at night, leave a minimum of 13 hours (more is better, at 17hrs our own stem cells start clearing out damaged cells by autophagy). Also listen to Dr Jason Fung. All these Functional Doctors are doing a huge service as health educators taking on our metabolic health and immune systems through bringing latest research to the public

It developed within two weeks and gradually dissipated over the past few years, but not completely. Now, I have to have a prism lens for the right eye. I don't have enough money to even consult a functional medicine physician, but I certainly would if I could. In the meantime, I eat as cleanly as possible and avoid dairy and grains. Dr Bryan Ardis - look up his videos - He said that God gave our bodies nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and that covid proteins get in those receptors and we can't smell, but if you chew nicotine gum for 10 minutes a few times a day or use 2-3 mg patches, those receptors will let go of the covid proteins and take up the nicotine and our sense of smell returned. I was skeptical but it worked after 1 week of chewing the gum. In researching nicotine, it is in many of the nightshade vegetables that we eat, with no warning labels. Nicotine is also an antidote for snake bites.... seems nicotine was vilified yet it is the other chemicals added to cigarettes and chew that purposely makes it addictive. I used nicotine gum and got my sense of smell back in a week.

    So thankful for functional medicine.
Functional medicine is different from conventional medicine in several ways, including:

    It's individualized

    It's preventative

It's not beholden to pharmaceutical companies

It welcomes patients into the process, to help care for their own health

Functional doctors test more than just the set of symptoms for a certain disease

Stop showcasing these excellent doctors who only treat the rich and don’t take any kind of insurance. It’s very frustrating to hear how knowledgeable these people are but your average patients has no way to see them. I understand that functional medicine doctors need to spend time with patients, more than what the insurance companies will allow, And I have seen a number of doctors who don’t take insurance and the prices were fairly reasonable for the visits, especially the follow ups. But all the testing that needs to be done, especially if it’s specialized testing is most likely not going to be covered by insurance nor any of the less conventional treatments that these doctors would prescribe. Please start interviewing some excellent cutting edge doctors who the regular person can see and get help from. It shouldn’t be that only the rich can get well from chronic illness

Long haul Lyme disease, other tick diseases, long haul environmental illnesses also cause nuerological immune system problems. There are lots of diseases that are professionally ignored.

Huge missing component that in these case studies you never reveal vaxx status. Obviously long covid and post vaxx patients have some very similar courses. Your failure to include vaxx status really bothers me.

Why do you bother having guests when you can answer all the questions that your guest would have answered if given a chance. So unfortunate, I would have like to hear what other experts have learned.

The doc says at the beginning - the majority of the immune regulatory cells are in the lining of the gut. We talk a lot now about the microbiome, the health in the bacterial flora of the gut. This is why a good wholesome diet is so important.
